OMG... so I bought a treadmill a couple of weeks ago and yesterday I got my heart monitor which works in conjunction with the treadmill. I thought I'd set it on a heart rate program and set it at my highest rate of 150. So the treadmill starts going really fast, 3.8 mph, and the next thing I knew I was running. I yelled to my husband, "I'm running." I ran (well actually jogged) for 3 whole minutes. I can't remember the last time I ran just 10 seconds. When I realized I was running and lasting more than 30 seconds, I pumped my arms in the air and gave myself a big woo hoo. I was very proud of myself as was my husband who was staring in disbelief. The excitement lasted through the night as I layed in bed thinking about it and couldn't sleep. Exercise has been a struggle for me and only lately have I been on a regular schedule. I write this in hopes of inspiring you to push yourself in your physical activity and notice the improvement in your body. I can't wait to get back on my treadmill and push myself because I know I can do it and it felt GREAT! Tina

You can do it Jaci! I'm amazed at the improvement I've seen in the last two weeks. I started with my workouts ranging from 2.3 - 2.5 MPH. Now I can do most of the workout at 3.0. I would up the MPH for just a couple of minutes then back down to my slow rate and eventually I could handle the faster rate for longer periods. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the info Renee. I have already noticed I need to increase the incline to get my heart rate up.

YAY Tina!!! That is wonderful!! Every once in a while I want to up the speed and start jogging on the treadmill but I just fear what I will look like with stuff jiggling and flopping and flapping all over the place. Dawn

It was nice to do this in the comfort of my living room. I'm not so sure I would have attempted this at the gym. Maybe my husband was staring at the jiggling and it wasn't the shock of me running as I had originally thought...lol

I've always joked with my DH that I won't run out of fear that my boobs will put bruises under my chin!!! Dawn
