Hi All~ Happy Hump Day!! We are half way through the week already. Woohoo. QOD: 1. What is your favorite food right now? 2. Was there one thing that made you pick up the phone to schedule your WLS consult? 3. How many pounds are you away from your goal weight? ~*~*My answers~*~* 1. Salad or raw veggies 2. Of course there is a ton of things that lead up to the decision, but the straw that broke the camels back was when a woman at my job said to another person, "doesn't she have the prettiest face?" She may have said, "it's a shame such a nice face is attached to such an ugly body." I called my doc that same day. 3. 104. I can't wait to be less than 100# from goal. Maybe next week! Good morning Dawn; I don't post every day, but today is Wednesday. So here are my answers. 1. What is your favorite food right now? I don't really have one. I still have a difficult time with alot of foods. Some days are better than others, but it hurts to eat anything more solid than soup or cottage cheese. 2. Was there one thing that made you pick up the phone to schedule your WLS consult? I researched this surgery for over two years. In my family there are alot of heart, diabetics, high blood pressure and colestral problems. Also, obsity. I wanted to break the cycle. I decided that this would help me in winning my fight to good health. 3. How many pounds are you away from your goal weight? I am about 103 lbs away from my goal. I have been lurking but I am going to join this wonderful group and start posting. You all are so nice and it seems like I have known you all forever. I have enjoyed reading the wonderful posts and advice. 1. My favorite food is shrimp and avacado with sf ****tail sauce - yummy! 2. My mom was diagnosed with diabetes last October and my cousin has WLS in March 2005 - I did not know - I saw her in October and she is doing very well. The Monday after I saw her, I called and went to a seminar to get the ball rolling. 3. I am about 83lbs from my goal weight. Have a great day everyone! Rhonda 289/243/160

When my blood pressure was not able to get under control with meds and then my cholosterol went up (the one thing that had always been perfect!). 3. How many pounds are you away from your goal weight? 148 lb.s to go Leeanne

Good Morning All!!!! 1. My Favorite food right now is Chicken Salad. I make it myself and it is great with toasted bagels. 2. We took a trip and when we came back through customs the walk was so long I thought I was not going to be able to make it. That was it for me. 3. 117. I am with you and can't wait to be less than 100#. In a couple of weeks I'll be there. Kathy

Good Morning and Happy Humpday As Well!!! 1. My favorite food is roast beef, melted mozzarella cheese and horseradish sauce. 2. I weighed more than ever. I have been on diets and lost a ton of weight, never to keep it off. My father is SMO and has dieted all of his life unsuccessfully. At points I would guess he was over 500 pounds. I did not want to end upas he did 50 something, with degenerative arthritis and congestive heart failure. And he is still dieting, he is on a medically supervised diet, considering the RNY WLS. 3. I am 78.4 pounds from my goal. My surgeon and I set a very realistic goal based on statistical facts, the average % that is lost in RNY WLS + 5%. I did not pull a number out of my hat and say ... I would like to weigh 105 pounds and be a size 2. My date for acheiving my goal is 12/11/06 - my bday. If my loss keeps tracking as it has been, I will be there! God Bless, Jen

1. What is your favorite food right now? Right now it would have to be havarti with Dill 2. Was there one thing that made you pick up the phone to schedule your WLS consult? In October I had realized that I had been gaining more and more weight so I got mad at myself then started doing research for WLS. I found Pac Bar's website then found this website. After reading a few profiles I decided to go to the orientation meeting. I got weighed in and was 230, my all time highest weight. It was all a fast ride from there. 3. How many pounds are you away from your goal weight? I am about about 40 or so away. I keep changing my mind on my goal weight. I would be happy between 125 and 135. Great questions for the day! Good morning Dawn and everyone else. 1. favorite food right now.....veggie sausage, yum! 2. I found out the insurance would cover WLS so I jumped on it 3. 68 pounds to go. Half way there! Lost 69, to do 68......lol Happy hump day! kristi
