Morning Dawn!!!!!!!!!! 1. What is your favorite food right now? *** I absolutely love my pudding... but when I don't make it, I feel like I have to push myself to eat something 2. Was there one thing that made you pick up the phone to schedule your WLS consult? *** My grandmother- she's always nagged me about my weight, but when my uncle started to lose weight due to having to take care of his diabetes, she basically told me if I didn't want to be like him, I'd better do something. She, of course, didn't say it in that manner lol 3. How many pounds are you away from your goal weight? *** I weighed today at my school's gym- 308! Two more pounds closer to 175 lol! I have 135 pounds to go!!!! It's amazing how fast its gone by- at the beginning it was way over 200!!!!!!!!! *~*Jaci*~*

Happy Wednesday, Everyone!! 1. What is your favorite food right now? Hmm...maybe avocado. It was pre-WLS and still is. 2. Was there one thing that made you pick up the phone to schedule your WLS consult? Many factors...the birth of my son; being diagnosed as pre-diabetic; and watching my close friend go from 300+ plus to about 180 in a year with her WLS!! 3. How many pounds are you away from your goal weight? I am about 97 lbs from my goal weight. My surgeon never gave me a goal weight. I am pretty tall...5'10" so maybe 160 is not realistic for me but that is what I am shooting for!

Hi Jersey Mom! My doc didn't give me a goal weight either- but I'm 5'10 also! While research ideal weights... we are to be between 140 and 180- HUGE difference! I think the end result will be how we look and our bone structure. I'm not dainty at all, so I'm shooting for 175 for now lol.

I am here, but so sleepy I got the biggest boost of energy last night at like 11:00pm... I was walking around the house doing twirls and squats Never thought I would choose to do squats for fun before! 1. What is your favorite food right now? My vanill carb control yogurt with a few real berries thrown in. so easy. so tasty. too bad there are only 5g protein in it. 2. Was there one thing that made you pick up the phone to schedule your WLS consult? i i had wanted it for a long time and one day i just knew that i couldn't do it on my own. i finally admitted i needed help. 3. How many pounds are you away from your goal weight? 140 away a long way to go, but I am ready for the challenge.

Was there one thing that made you pick up the phone to schedule your WLS consult? being diagnosed with unexplained infertility and sleep apnea 3. How many pounds are you away from your goal weight? 100 pounds from MY personal goal(135), 50-70 from my Dr.'s goal weight(160-180)

Was there one thing that made you pick up the phone to schedule your WLS consult? (The first time, no...though I had been thinking about it for years! The second time, the week I weaned my twins! Chele, I got pregnant right after my insurance approved me the first time too!! That was Nov 2003. I waited until my daughter was one year before I started looking into it again. I wanted to make sure that I could take care of her physically. Dawn

That's a biggie, Dawn...wanting to make sure that you'd be strong for your baby girl. Sometimes I wonder if I had the surgery too soon. It's hard keeping up with the twins in light of the extreme exhaustion I feel. Chele

Hi everyone! These questions seem harder for me to answer, but I will try... 1. What is your favorite food right now? I think a juicy piece of steak. 2. Was there one thing that made you pick up the phone to schedule your WLS consult? No...I had been thinking about doing it for over a year. I decided to just try one more diet. Big mistake! If I had done it sooner, I would be down to my ideal weight by now. 3. How many pounds are you away from your goal weight? I was never given a goal, but I think I would like to be around 130. So I am 97 lbs away from that right now.

Hi everyone! 1. My favoritte food right now is bacon. It goes down well and it helps with the protein quota! 2. I had a breast cancer scare in August and I told myself that if I get through it I will take MAJOR control of my health. My endo diagnosed me with metabollic syndrome and said that WLS was my only option. 3.I have been reluctant about setting a goal weight....have always doneso and been DISAPPOINTED in the end. Didn't want to set myself up for it nor did I want to have unrealistic expectations. I feared (and sometimes still do) that it wouldn't work for me. I am grateful for every pound and wonder when/if it'll stop. If I say that my goal is 170lbs (more than realistic I think) then...55lbs to go. MAYBE I'll get to 150? Then 75lbs! Just keepin on keepin on! Christina 280/235/?
