Ok---- would you share with me about how many cals you are all eating at this point? I'm at 900-1000 (sometimes more). Please let me know, thanks! Cathy

My surgery was on 1/5/06. I'm getting in between 600-900 cals, 45-65 gms of protein and 45-65 oz of fluids a day. Robin - Lap RNY 318/280/230/150

According to Fitday, my averages over the last month are: Calories: 845 (I aim for 800-1000, or at least keep that figure in the back of my mind, but I do go over some days. It's not like my doc has suggested a range. Carbs: 58 (Again, I try not to go over 50. Why? Dunno lol) Protein: 77gms (I try to do between 80-100gms a day, but I think this average is lower because since I have been sick, I haven't been doing my protein shakes like I normally do). Chele

Lately I have been averaging around 500 or 600 calories, but that is because I struggle to get down food right now. I have averaged 800-900 previously. I am a fiend for jerky, as that is all that is working for me right now. Last night I went to a party and had some salami and cheese, as well as some guacamole, so I know my calories were up last night (I didn't figure out the numbers though). My doctor's office told me to not go above 100 carbs a day and that the calories would fall into place. By reading the boards, I think 100 carbs is a LOT more than most people here eat, and I am not even close to that number either. It's so weird how different doctor's orders are for all of us. I am definitely better with my protein (between the jerky and the Profect "shot" I now use), and my weight loss has been great over the last couple of weeks. I am losing at least a pound (usually more) each day - I am CONVINCED that getting in your protein is the most important thing for weight loss.

I stopped counting because I started to get consumed by it. My doc advised me to stop because he saw home much of a freak I was being. Anyway, I decided to enter yesterday's menu into fitday to see where I stand compared to you guys and I had 651 calories and 57 grams of protein. But then for today I only had 277 calories and 32 grams of protein. Darn it!!! Now I'm going to start counting again!! This is showing me that I need to up my protein some. Dawn

I am anywhere in between 700-1000, sometimes I feel like thats way too many, but the protein shake that I have for breakfast each day is about 290 (45 grams of protein and only 1 carb, i am not sure how many carbs the 250ml of 1% milk has it it) so after I consume a shake I am a third of the way to 1000 everyday. If I skip the shake I dont get near the protein I am supposed to have. So I decided I must be doing ok with this amount I keep losing pounds!
