Can we take water pills?

Some days I seem relly swollen. I used to take water pills, but can I still? Elsa

By "water pills" do you mean prescription pills such as "Dyazide" or something over the counter like Water Ban? In my folder/binder, it states that diuretics such as Aldactone, Dyazide, Lasix and Maxzide are fine. You could always search this site and see what others have said, or give your doc a ringy ding. I should call anyways to ask about cold medicine. Elsa

I am still taking Maxzide but they cut my dose in half. Leeanne

I take a lasix daily (or every other day). When you do though you have to be sure to take in potassium as well. Karen
