Hump Day Blues
I am not feeling the greatest about clothes. I hardly have anything to wear that doesn't hang on me. I have bought a few things, but am not able to find pants that fit.
I have lost alot in my legs and butt (mine was already flat), but not as much in my stomach (which was the biggest area already).
24's fit good in my legs, but too tight in the stomach. 26's fit in the stomach, but way too baggy in the legs and butt.
I hope this phase doesn't last long, I want to buy a couple of things for Spring and stop wearing black and dark brown.

I totally hear you on the boobs. I was a 46DD and now I'm a 42D. If I go lower than a C I might cry.
I bought 2 new maternity shirts in size XL. I'm actually a 3X now, but the neck hole and sleeves are so big on the 3X. The XL maternity shirts fit nice on my sholders and arms, but are still roomy enough for my big butt and tummy.

I know what you mean. My lower abs are just ridiculous!! I tried doing some reverse crunches last night on the floor and I couldn't even do one!! I feel like my side view looks all out of proportion.
I don't know if you watched "the biggest loser" before but I've noticed that during the process they all get thin in some areas while others are still big. Eventually it evens itself out but there is a period where they all looked frumpy.
Have you tried buying jeans with stretch in them??

I hear yah!! My top shrinks and by belly/hips hardly diminish at all. Finding clothes to fit is a task I'm not ready to give into yet. At first I thought I'd love having baggy tops, but now I just feel frumpy. I live in hope this too shall pass
and the low energy is killing me!!! I've never slept more than 6 hours a nite and now it's 9 with a nap mid-day.
Hang in there- spring is coming and hopefully our energy levels will rise with the tulips.

I'm right there with ya Leeanne! I have alot of vneck shirts that are WAY too big in the neck now, I'll have to start layering soon! The other day I was walking around with my shirt pulled to my shoulder exposing the huge bra strap of mine! Eek!
My pants are huge... but still the 26s are tight in the waist or I'm just super self conscious! Its crazy, but I do love the look of the neck that's coming in

Girl, I often have the belly blues as well. Two babies in less than a year and 20 years of being overweight takes its toll. My "toll" is my abdominal area. So pants that are fitting in the waist area are always baggy in the rear and thighs. Sucks, but it's what I've been given.
My clothes are all too baggy as well. I decided early on that I wasn't spending a small fortune on clothes as they will be outgrown fairly quickly. I did, however, go to Wal Mart (if you don't mind cheapy clothing for now) and bought for $14 or so a couple pairs of really cute capris (sort of like warm up material) and matching tops. I love them, they're sporty and fit and I can't wear them anywhere that's not "formal". That is all I'm buying. If you sew, take your clothes in 1/2 an inch or something periodically. That's what I plan to do.
Sorry that you're having bad feelings with clothes....but guess what! You're losing weight and it's better than them being too tight from a gain? Celebrate! Enjoy!
Hey, I even bought stripes going across for the first time, rather than up and down.
Best wishes,
Leeanne

Leeanne I have to agree with you. It's not just hump day but it's cold and rainy and just icky. On the clothes thing though, it's kind of frustrating because you don't want to go out and spend a bunch of money on clothes you'll shrink out of quickly. I was a 22 at surgery 9 weeks ago and now I'm an 18. If I buy Women's sizes, I was a 20 and now I'm a 16. I went ahead and bought a couple pair of khaki pants at Dress Barn that were on sale because I too was sick of wearing nothing but black pants. I bought them 2 weeks ago and they're already too baggy - they just don't look very good. Problem is, I can't fit into my regular 16's yet so I'm stuck wearing baggy pants.
I have another problem that my lower legs are fat - always have been even when I was a size 10. Since most of my wardrobe has tapered legs because that was the style then, I'm having a real problem. I'm glad the trend is going back to wider legs on pants because I sure need them!!
Chin up - you're 9 weeks post op and you're losing, probably much faster than you did pre-op. I know I'm disappointed at my pounds lost but I'm ecstatic that I'm down 2, almost 3, sizes. Just wear them baggy for a bit, you'll be in the next size pretty quickly.
I guess I'm lucky. I have all the clothes that I grew out of when I gained all this extra weight 2 years ago that I have now lost. So, at least for now, All my cloths fit just fine. But in a month or two I'll be in big trouble right there with you.
But jeans with streach are a great idea and alot more comfy
.
