Horrible dinner last night!
I agree with some of the other girls. A "taste" or a "treat" isn't going to make or break anyone. We just have to look at it as a once in a while treat. Before surgery we would order a 24 slice "party tray" (it's rectangle) just for me, DH, my 7 year old, and my 1 year old. In two days it would be GONE!
I don't know if you saw on Oprah the other day but she had the author of "French women don't get fat" on and she said that they follow the "3 bite rule". What that is is after 3 bites you have experienced that food enough to enjoy it, after 3 bites your just eating.

Man, when I think about what I used to eat, it's really, really scary and puts it into perspective. I just want to do the best I can during this small window of massive losing time, but part of that is just being positive, isn't it?
Thanks for the support (and the good tip re the French lady...I don't usually like to listen to the French - ha ha - but that sounds like some good advice!)
You've gotten great advice and support from many members. My weight loss center stresses that we have to let go of the diet mentality. We are no longer on a diet. Nothing is "bad" or off limits. Take a look at the skinny people in your life, they probably eat a piece of pizza or a few wings once in a while. The difference is that 1. they don't eat the whole pizza in one sitting (easily done by me before sugery) and they don't feel a stitch of guilt about having eaten the wings after they are done. We give food more power in our lives when it is tempation and forbidden. We need to learn to put it in perspective - some days we'll have more of an appetite, some days less. Some days the crap food will go down easier than the plain chicken breast (which give me pain just thinking about trying to get that down at this point). Don't beat yourself up - (easier said than done I know )
Good luck
