no appetite
So I've never been able to understand the folks who lose their appetite when they are under stress or have a cold, etc. Stress begged for food to settle me before the surgery and being home with a cold invited laying in bed having orange sherbet (my dad used to buy that for us when we had a cold) and pigging out on junk food. For the first time in my LIFE I have lost my appetite. I have had this horrible chest cold which is really wiping me out. I came home from work on Wed., fed my daughter, had a small glass of milk and went to bed. Yesterday I stayed home and tried to eat a couple things during the day but the idea of food just turned my stomach! Now I'm at work and haven't had breakfast and basically forced a few bites of tuna but I still have absolutely no desire to eat. It is the wierdest thing!! The idea of food right now is kinda' gross! Just had to share - has anyone else had that experience post surgery. It sure is new to me!!

I haven't had any appetite since surgery. I'm just not hungry, EVER! I guess that's a good thing. Now food doesn't make me sick, I just don't feel like eating.
I eat by the clock rather than when I'm hungry.
Before surgery I could eat anyone I knew under the table. Extra-large pizza, no problem. Full bag of chips, a breeze. A quart of ice cream, without thinking.
It's amazing to me and I sure hope it lasts

Yes I'm going thru that right now. I've been sick since Monday night; dr. put me on antibiotics Tues. a.m. I've been throwing up when I do try to eat; couldn't even keep liquids down the first day. I have no appetite whatsoever; struggling to get in half my vitamins a day. TGIF - I plan to get lots of rest and nurse myself back to health, cause I know it's not good to not be eating or getting all my vits in.
