The deep water class is water aerobics in the deep end of the pool. You have a "noodle" or a belt which keeps you afloat while you pedal, kick, jog, twist, turn and otherwise move your body to music...it's kinda like treading water, yes. The class is lead by an instructor.
I have found that it's great for toning.

How do I do it? By keeping my focus on the goal. 9 times out of 10 I tell myself, "lower the resistance...it's not like your stopping." But I just push through it and think about how nice it's going to be this summer in cute outfits.
I worked myself up to the point I am at. I started at 30 mins and added 5 or 10 a day until I got up to 70.
