Roll Call/Check In!
I am really getting tired of protein shakes. I have used some from GNC and Designer Whey chocolate from Wal mart. I don't know how anyone gets all their protein in without using shakes, I get so full when I eat, any suggestions?
My daughter would benefit from weight loss surgery. She is 33 years old, married with 2 little boys and has an appointment with my surgeon on May 24th. We are hoping her insurance approves it.
i have not cheated yet, I am really afraid to. i don't want to get sick and I am afraid of otems I shouldn't eat for fear of getting back into old habits.
Take care Rosemary
1) What is your favorite protein shake/drink? Where do you purchase it? Isopure Alpine Punch in the Premixed bottles
2) Do you know anyone personally who could benefit from WLS? Would you share your experiences regarding surgery with them, if the topic came up in conversation? My sister but she is trying Weigh****chers for the 100th time.
3) Since WLS, have you cheated by eating something blatantly bad for you? Be honest! I had a small slice of cheese pizza last night.
1) What is your favorite protein shake/drink? Where do you purchase it? I don't like them and I don't drink them.
2) Do you know anyone personally who could benefit from WLS? Would you share your experiences regarding surgery with them, if the topic came up in conversation? Yes but I have told most people about my surgery so I figure if they want to know, they will ask and if they don't ask then they are not ready.
3) Since WLS, have you cheated by eating something blatantly bad for you? Be honest! Oh yeah! I actually feel that it is OK to have a few bites of things I miss so I don't become obsessed with having it. The best was when I went out to dinner with a friend and her daughter and my daughter. They all had different desserts and I got to have bites of all three of them!

Great questions, as always!
1. Well, my old answer would have been Isofruit Protein ****tail (Pineapple) and I still love it. But, now it's the AchievOne Coffee drinks. They are awesome and taste just like the Starbucks ones but with good-for-you protein. I get both of these online.
2. I do know a few people who would benefit from it and if they approached the topic (even though they don't know I had it done), I would probably tell them about my experience. I have to thank a friend of mine who told me he was going to have the surgery, as that's what spurred me to look into it.
3. Yes, me too. I made some homentashen (they're kind of like a sugar cookie, but folded into the shape of a triangle and filled with different fruit fillings) and I had a couple of corners off them. I don't like filled things, so the middles were not of interest to me. I counted them in my Fitday daily intake. I, too, don't count anything that is sugar free as "cheating", especially as I still only have a bite or two.
