discomfort on left side

I am contacting my doc but I was wondering if anyone knows what organs etc are around the left side a little bit above the waist--I started feeling discomfort about 2 days ago and its not constant--if anyone has any thought plmk--thanks

About 1 mont out I had some discomfort on my left side, and I think it was from trying to sllp on my side too soon. After about a week it went away. If it persists maybe you should call your surgeon. Take care Rosemary

Hi Lori, I had discomfort in my lower left side about a month and a half after surgery. For me it was due to not getting in enough water. My body was telling me it was getting dehyrated. As soon as I increased my water, it went away. Karen S.

I had erratic discomfort on my left side in the area you are talking about. It lasted about a week. Not to be gross, but have you been having regular bowel movements yesterday? I woke up one morning and took a GIANT #2, and voila! Pain was gone. However, if this is something that continues, I wouldn't hesitate to contact your doctor. Better to be safe than sorry, right? if it is painfull it could be divertickulitis. dave

Don't worry to much about the pain on your left side I learned that the Staple machine is docked on your left side during WLS and the sorness and bruises on your left come from the blunt foce trauma of the staple gun hitting your left side every time its fired and recoils. Interesting huh. April
