Ahh spring. Isn't it weird? One day it's beautiful and the next it is bitter. Today the sun is shining and air is crisp here in NJ. QOD: 1. If you have children, do you worry that they will become obese? 2. Do you have a childhood friend that you still talk too? At what age did you meet? 3. Do you vote? My answers~ 1. Sometimes. i see myself letting them have bad choices. But unlike my parents, I keep my kids very active. 2. yes. We met in sunday school when we were 2 and still talk at least once a week. 3. only for the president. I usually forget about the other elections. Dawn

It IS a weird Spring! The other day we had moderately warm sunny weather in the morning when I went to the gym. By the time I left (2 hours later), it was cloudy and snowing! 1) I worry because of the genetic component. I always told myself that as a parent I would never deny my children any goodies, because my mom did that and as a result, my brother and I used to hoard them! We'd take lunch money and spend it on candy. My big thing has always been, "Everything in moderation" and we discuss nutritional choices constantly. I'm proud of the amount of knowledge my kids have regarding nutrition...they really know a lot! 2) No, through many moves in my lifetime, I have managed to lose touch with everyone. 3) Sometimes....it depends. Good morning! 1. If you have children, do you worry that they will become obese? I have one son, 16 months. I do not worry at all about him becoming overweight. My husband is a fanatic about health and there is no way on earth that he will let my son fall into that trap. 2. Do you have a childhood friend that you still talk too? At what age did you meet? I have a childhood friend that I recently reconnected with. She was my best friend through grade school and through high school. She was the 'best' best friend I have ever had. 3. Do you vote? Yes, I vote. Not for all elections...but the ones I can. Make it a great day, everyone!

Good morning from Nebraska. Spring has sprung and it is beautiful this morning, but this afternoon it is suppose to get stormy and wicked. 1. I have four daughters (adult) (three are mine and one is a step) and they are all obese. One has had WLS. 2. I have moved to many times in my life and have lost track of them all. I do wish that I had that tie to my childhood. 3. Yes, I vote. I don't think you have the right to complain about what is going on in government if you don't do your part to put the people making the decisions in place, and I am very verbal about what I think. Well you all have a wonderful day. Hazel

Hi Dawn. I know what you mean about this crazy weather. Im ready for summer. 1. I dont worry about my son being overweight. He is a competitive swimmer and works out in the pool several times a week. He eats all the time but makes good choices. My daughter is a different story. She is going to be short and she is a very picky eater. 2. I have a few friends from grade school I still see. We have kids the same age now and we run into each other often. 3. Yes I vote. kristi

Hi, It feels kinda cold today for Texas. There is a nice breeze blowing and the sun is really trying to break out of the clouds. 1. If you have children, do you worry that they will become obese? Yes and No, we took Grace to the pediatrician today and she has lost weight. She is almost 19 months old and only weighs 18 pounds. She is off the charts as far as her size goes. We have been to multiple specialists, have tested everything from heart mumrurs to cystic fibros to a full chromosone panel study. I have to feed her "added" calorie type stuff, pediasure, but butter on her veggies etc. I try to make it as healthy as I can when giving her the fat stuff, like avocados, and cheese. 2. Do you have a childhood friend that you still talk too? At what age did you meet? I have friends from middle school that I talk to regularly. They are in PA, I am in TX we usually get together when I make it back to PA. 3. Do you vote? Yes, usually in major elections but not in the small local ones.
