Lane Bryant

I had my interview yesterday- it went super well! The interviewer and I were laughing the whole time, I hope doesn't count againt me! She even asked me to sell a piece of clothing I had on- luckily I had all LB clothes! She has this pretty strawberry blonde hair and the twin set I was wearing was a teal color- totally sold her the outfit! It was so fun. I was sad to hear the store has alot of internal theft. How can people be so horrible to their employer!? I mean, wait until you can get that 55% off, geeze! So now, because of the bad apples, the poor managers have to walk the employees out to the front of the store and have them open their bag. Ugh. But, if it cuts down on theft, excellent! I inquired about hours, etc and unfortunately she said it would probably be just one day a week but they have a new goal system in place. If you meet the three goals set for you that day, you get a "gold star" the more stars you get, the more hours. I think this completely makes sense! Why have someone who isn't meeting goals and slacking work when there are others who so desperately want to work and make the company money? AND... LB has a new Spring Sale!!! 30% off of crops and capris Bras are still buy 1 get 1 1/2 off and panties buy 3 get 3 free or something like that. They have the cutest pj set in my store! Only 40 bucks for the set! A cute cute camisole linen-ish top with satiny pant. If I only had some money he he. Alrighty, gotta get back to chores, see you later!

Did she say when she would contact you? Did she mention how many others were being interviewed for the same position? I need to get my hiney in there or at least open the catalog and order some spring fashions. Good luck Dawn

I should back by Friday... hopefully lol. There was one other lady being interviewed yesterday. The catalog isn't the same as the Lane Bryant stores... they just stole the name. The stores were started by Lena Bryant in 1900 and purchased by Charming Shoppes in 1970... (I did my research he he). The catalog is owned my different people- at least to my understanding. But they have great sales!!! lol

Well what do you know!! That explains why I never see the same items in the catalog that are in the store. The store is always for fashionable. Did you ever try on those jeans I sent?? Dawn

LOL I never knew until about 3 years ago lol. Yes! I did try them on, I even replied to one of your posts about them They fit now! Whooo hooo! But they're a bit big in the butt lol

LOL I didn't buy anything, thank God, but boy was I tempted I don't know what I'm going to do after LB! Ack!

That is so exciting Jaci!!! I worked there for many years back in the day. In fact I had to go run a store (120 miles from my home) for a couple of months until they hired all new people because of internal theft. It's ridiculous. Even the manager. DING DONGS!!! Anyway, it's a totally fun job. I just can't stand retial during the holidays, it is NUTSO! Best of luck, i'll be praying for you sister. Kristie
