Goofy Comment

I was noticing over the weekend that my cheekbones are becoming really prominent, which is cool. However, I've never had cheekbones before -- not even when I was younger and thinner. So the goofy dilemna is that I've no idea where to put my blush now when I put on my makeup. LOL --before I've always "drawn" on where I thought my cheeks should be, but now I have actual cheekbones, I have no clue. I knew that you all would appreciate that, as my husband (while extremely supportive in all things) just looked at my blankly when I made the comment.

LOL, I had the same problem..... I put my blush under my cheek bone and then blend it up. I don't wear too much blush these days though -- more bronzer then anything. I love the look of the sunkissed glow! Susan

brush just under them, moving up towards the top of your ears. This makes a shadow and highlights the bones. You can then put a lighter color very lightly on the bones themselves, again, a shadowing affect.

I don't do any "contouring"...that's 80's stuff, isn't it? I have always just added color to the part that sticks out the most (the apple of the cheek), not going in closer to the nose from the pupil and not going lower than the nose, brushing upwards towards towards the tips of the ears. Chele

The dark contouring is 80's, now it is just a slight brush, with a slightly darker color than what you would use for foundation. It makes an illusion of a shadow, shouldn't really be able to see that there is even makeup on. I use the same blush on my cheeks and eyes, so it is just shadows. Now for some, the under the cheek bones doesn't work, looks bad. But I find it does work on most.

How does bronzer work? What brand?

Put the blush or bronzer where the sun would hit your face. Apples of the cheeks, tip of your nose, your forhead, chin. Just give yourself the sunkissed look Bare Essensials makes great stuff that can be used as bronzers, very natural.

I've tried the Bare Essentials makeup before and loved the way it looked. However, it burned my face after 30 minutes or so and I had to quit wearing it. It felt like when you have sunscreen on and begin to sweat -- that burning, *****ling sensation. I do still use the glee as a blush, though -- it blends in really well.

I don't know your age, but people 35 and older should put their blush on the apples of their cheeks and very slightly blend out and up (very lightly) ::hugs:: Cyndi
