We have an Easter egg hunt every year. My kids still do it even though they are grown. Anyone have any ideas of what to put in the eggs besides candy. I don't want to encourage bad eating habbits. But I want it to be fun. Leeanne

I raid my piggy bank and I also do some 2 dollar bills and I also go to the party store and get favors that fit in the eggs. Everyone loves money! Jenn

Money is always a favorite or you could make cute little gift certificates redeemable for things. I don't know how old your talking but for a teen you might make a "get out of 1 chore" certificate. Dawn

Leeanne good question.... Well I have in the past used candy, money, homemade gift certificate such as: You are intitled to pick the movie we go see, or Get out of one chore today card especially for teenagers or adults, eggs that have a piece of paper inside with a number on it. Then you ask all the adults to bring one $5.00 gift or less for every child they bring. Of course there is not going to be a lot of eggs in this game. Unless you play the golden egg game. When you hide ALOT of eggs but certain amount of golden eggs one for every child which would have the tickets inside. After the egg hunt You go in order and call out 1 through whatever and have the individuals come up to the prize table and pick out there one easter or passover goodie. Of course you will need to make sure all the prizes are age okay. ENJOY.....

When my kids got a little older we did a scavanger hunt by putting initials on the outside of the egg (N=Nicole) and if she found an egg with a N on it she got to open it, if not she placed it back where she found it, then after finding all the eggs, each child with their own special labeled eggs got to open them to find hints to where their very own special easter basket was......hidden somewhere in the house, car, yard, etc....they still got candy, etc in the basket, but my kids loved the looking for the prize idea...
