Its a rare moment that I go to the main board but did so in search of the easter egg/flowers, which I dont see, maybe because its because I am on a iMac? Anyway, a guy 6 weeks out posted about alcohol at his stage, wanting to enjoy the holidays with his friends. The responses he got were so rude, flamming and nasty. One person went into his profile and threw back in his face something he'd written and said it was obvious he should not have had WLS. Unbelievable!!! At my 3 month follow up yesterday I spoke of our group and how fabulous it is and after reading some of the main posts, I felt the need to share with you. Happy Easter and I am thankful for all of you and the friendship we have gained. ~Tiffany

You should see it with a Mac. It is on the HOME page. Click on the Home at the top of this page or the OH stuff on the upper left side of the page. Then scroll down to the bottom, the eggs are on the lower right corner. Then scroll down the new page and click on the web address that is linked, that will get you there. I know I keep checking daily on Jan. message board and wish more was posted. I get so tired of the same questions on the mainboard, like no one ever reads the other posts. I do post there and try to be nice when I do. But I have seen alot of people just throw up their hands and leave the boards all together from things that go on there. I do like to see what Tooter says, so I think that is what keeps me there. I also read the Calif. board. They are alot like this board, very active with alot of get togethers and such. I haven't been to any, will miss the next one that is close to me for work. But it is a good board also.

Tiffany Happy Easter to you to............ It can be very hard.....Every word we post is open to the public...And there is some individuals that are right out mean that don't understand everything our doctors have made us do to qualifry for the surgery and all the life changes....Just remember everyone here at the January board supports you since we are all in the same boat. And remember stick and stones might break our bones but words will never hurt us.....Bull it still hurts at times....But rememeber all your friends at the January board. suzan

I rarely go in the Mainboard for that very reason. They are a tough crowd and I don't know why Anyway, go to the homepage then look down in the righthand corner. You should see the easter eggs there. Have a wonderful Holiday

Hey Tiffany! I agree with you about the main board. Sometimes I go there just to read the drama but rarely ever post there. I love the Cali Board! We are becoming such a tight knit group with many outings planned for the next few months. And I love you guys too! These two boards serve as my support groups since I have yet to find one in San Diego that I want to go to. I checked out the beta version this morning and liked it enough... I can't wait to see how the new profiles look, the thing I love the most about it is you can book mark your favorite pages. I have so many that I would love to read more often but can find very easily. Have a Happy Easter Tiffany and the rest of Januarians! Dana

Good afternoon all, I, too, don't look at the Main board very much, but I guess it's because I find it much less personal than our board. I like how we all know each other and have developed these friendships. I'll have to take a look over there and check out this thread you're talking about. I don't mind when people give some tough love, but flaming is completely unecessary! I think we have a good balance of support, but being realistic on the January board. Anyway, we're glad you're here, too! Have a wonderful holiday!! Lisa S.

Tiffany~ I agree wholeheartedly about the main board. There is that "handful" of people that seem to think that since they made it to goal and they are a few years post op that they are some sort of expert on WLS. That is ridiculous. We are here to support and encourage one another. How can these people think that breaking someone down with their words will ever build them up? It doesn't make sense. Sure, people say and do things (even here on this board) that causes me to cringe, but I would never in a million years belittle them because of it. Ultimately it is a question or decision they want to make for themselves and it has no affect on me personally so why get all bent out of shape. I guess it all goes back to what our mothers said when we were little: If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. Dawn
