What is your one month, two month, three month and four month goals?
I didn't have monthly goals, but here are my small goals. My first was to be below 200 by my birthday (it was April 7). I didn't make it, but I'm there now. My next goal was to be able to walk from the parking lot to my office without getting so out of breath that I can't talk...mission accomplished. Next goal,,get back into my 16w clothes that were hanging in my closet...another mission accomplished-been wearing them about 2 weeks now. Another goal--to be able to bend over and tie my shoes so that I can wear sneakers with my scrubs to work--not quite there yet, but I did wear sneakers on Friday. My co-workers were all asking what the occassion was. Told them I was going for the Easter egg look as I was wearing a lavender scrub top, white pants and white sneakers..lol I had a wow moment yesterday. Hubby was taking out a tree in our front yard and I was pulling the fallen branches out of the way. I was able to bend down without any acid reflux and without cutting off my circulation...who knew?????
Hope everyone reaches whatever goals they have set. I've only lost 40 lbs, but I'm proud of every one of those lbs....I'm feeling about 10 years younger.

Angela, we had our surgeries one day apart and I am losing at the same pace you are.....I was 310 on the day of surgery, and am 273.5 today. It frustrates me somewhat because I feel like I am doing everything correctly. My doctor (primary care) is happy that it's coming off slower, and the surgeon was happy with my progress, so I try to not obsess about it.
My 1 and 2 month goals were to recover well. I was fortunate to have 8 weeks paid medical leave. I wanted to be able to walk a mile without stopping, and be able to stay up all day and active so that when I returned to work full-time I would be at 100%. I accomplished that goal.
My other goal was to eat without ever throwing up, and I have accomplished that also. I have never even felt close to having the need to do that. I guess I'm eating slow enough and chewing well enough.
My 3 month goal was to be able to walk 2 miles without stopping, which I can now do.
My 4 month goal and beyond is to increase my exercise. I walk every day, and swim twice a week, but I am also someone who loves to read and I know I probably spend too much time sitting on my butt with a book in my hands....
I love my Recumbant bike I had told my husband the day after thanksgiving we are going to get in those early bird lines and buy me a bike...Well 5:30 am in front of Big 5 sporting goods and we got one...I love it I sit and ride for 30 to 45 minutes while drinking crystal light or crocheting............Time does pass fast and the calories burn off also very quick......Suzan
