HELP.. Scale has stopped moving
You have just been lucky so far. First, a plateau is something that lasts over 5 weeks, so you aren't really there yet (from mainboard and those who have been around awhile) I have 3 week stretches all the time where the scale doesn't move, then I loose 2 or 4 lbs and it stops again. This is absolutely normal and will happen over and over on our journey. If it is so upsetting, don't get on the scale but once a month and measure once a week. The inches change when the scale doesn't.
It will all work out. You can try changing what you eat, I did and thought it made a difference, but then another stall happened with that as well. I just eat protein first, get my water and vit and exercise everyday if I can. That is all any of us can do. The rest is up to time.
Oh I'm not saying I don't get depressed, I do, I just have to think my way thru it and it gets better each stall, but not gone completely.
Hi Freda,
I have been maintaining the same weight for weeks myself so I know how you are feeling. I am at 200.5 lbs. and am upset that I can't get into Onederland. Anyways, hang in there the scale will move again. We just have to get used to these plateaus. Don't be too discouraged as we are all in this together!

I weigh every week, longer if I can stay away. This week I am up 3 lbs for no reason...no 'bad foods', and lots of exercise, protein and water. I have a friend who had WLS and she does not lose during the month but after her Flo she drops 15 lbs. I know I am going the right way in the long run and try not to think about it.....
I try not to weigh anymore than once a week if that, I use the scale now as a guide but I am trying not to live by it anymore because it could make a good day a bad one.....Ive been up 2 lbs here in there depending on the exercise I do or even what I eat but I dont panic or let it bring me down--as long as you know you are following the rules just let your body do its thing and everything will balance out in the longrun--good luck with your journey and stay positive!

You're where I was last week! I too have periods of time when it seems that I don't lose. It's frustrating!!!
Then one week I'll lose a good size chunk.
I think our bodies are really truly changing, it just isn't evident on the scale. It's hard to remember that though because it sorta seems like we're spinning our wheels.
Hang in there!

I too, have been stuck at the same weight for almost two weeks. Everyone who sees me keeps commenting on how it seems like I am "shrinking" - there are co-workers I only see once a week and they always say they can see a difference. Which amazes me, since the scale is not moving during this time. I know I do everything "right." I just seem to be a slow loser for some reason. I vow to myself all the time that I'm not going to stress out over this, but sometimes I do.
My brother had WLS in 02/04, and he lost 20 lbs every month for the first five months, so he lost 102 lbs by the 4th of July that year. I guess in my head I thought I would follow the same path, and I was thinking I'd be down 100 lbs by summer. Not gonna happen.
