I am so happy that you posted!! My Mother had WLS 11 years ago and died last year due to kidney failure. She only weighed 67 pounds. I think that if the info that is available today was available when she had her WLS, she may have survuved another 30 years. After watching my mother die, it has made me think long and hard about taking care of myself after WLS. I take my vitamins and have my blood work checked at least once a year. Life long follow up is needed after WLS. ((((((HUGS)))))) Dawn
