OT: Did anyone watch American Idol last night
So who else is rooting just for the guys this time? In my opinion, Katharine and Kellie are just so-so. They're no match for Fantasia, Kelly, or Carrie. On the other hand, I can totally see Taylor, Chris, or Elliott winning this thing. Paris is great but the younger ones usually don't win this thing...
I know, huh!? She must have an entire phone block just dialing away or something. I don't think she's ever even been in the bottom three before, has she?
I don't see it happening tonight either, but I think she did the worst last night and it would be the most fair time for her to finally get the boot.
This is what my doctor calls a time out when you have started to gain back some of your weight. I did it a couple of weeks ago when I over did on the weekend. It does suck, but you can get through it. I know you were just posting to vent, but wanted you to know you have some support! Hang in there.
Hugs,
Bridget
Misha: I really respect you for trying this! Best of luck to you. You have my support too.
It really hit me hard when you said you are scared of being without food - that's me too! I have always been afraid to feel hunger, and it's no different now. I have often thought of doing what many posters here have said would help to jump-start me and get me back on track, but I haven't had the courage to go without food!
Let us know how it goes for you!

Hi Misha,
I read your post with interest because I have been flirting with doing the same thing. I was on a trial program through Wayne State (they were doing their thesis on obesity I guess) and I drank Optifast for 5 months, never having food all that time. I loved it. I was the only one to show up at the end, everyone dropped out. I thought to myself that I could live on liquids forever. It took all the decisions out of my life.
Well, I wondered if that would be appropriate now - that we can just live for a few days or more on protein drinks to jump-start our weight loss. I was going to post this as a question of health.
Let us know if it works, please!
Good luck. It's strange how we forget or don't want to look at, the comfort that food has in our lives. I would be just as happy to know that I could drink my way to 130 pounds. I have gained 25 over the last year and it's just getting worse. I do drink a lot of protein drinks, but I eat also and my total intake is high when I do that, so...... let us know.

Wow I have been thinking about going on liquids for a day too....reading your post makes be understand why I haven't started yet
!!! I'm with you on this...you can get through it! Prayers on their way.
I am terrified now that I'm am 18 mos post op that I will start gaining weight! I stopped losing in December. I had PS last month and I am swollen and weigh the same post op but I can't go back to working out yet (this is what scares me)!! Point is maybe one day on protein drinks only will move be in the right direction!
Thanks for the motivating post!
