Gas

And yet another doozy of a topic! I notice that I have gas in the afternoons to evening hours. It doesn't seem to matter what I eat. It doesn't make a difference how much fluid I drink. Exercise doesn't help. It's not influenced by the changing tides. Is there anything we can do about this? I have never had any issues regarding this topic in the past, just after WLS! I'm going to go crawl in a hole now that I have posted this. Chele

Hey Chele, it may not be how much you are drinking but what you are drinking... If I drink Propel I get gas BAD, same with Capri Suns. Certain "juice" drinks give me gas. Try a log noting what you are drinking and if you get gas after wards... Also broccoli is a culprit when it comes to gas too. Dana

I cut out the flavored waters for the most part. I do use Real Lime/Real Lemon in water, and occasionally a Fulfill powder in water. Hmmm. You're right! I'm going to have to start paying better attention. I do log everything in Fitday but I'll be more aware. Chele

I eat the little cherry cream chewables, they taste pretty good and help with any gas and pain that can come with it!! Hope they work for you..oh yeah beano also works good, I use those if I have veggies. Steph

I saw your post and thought it was about rising gas prices! I too have gas at night in the bed with my DH!! YES! He sleeps through it except one time.... he pushed on me and said baby, your snoring!! I said No I'm not and he insisted I was! (I have a CPAP machine) then he proceeded to tell me that something was wrong with my machine because he never heard me snore since the machine. Well, I wasn't snoring.... it was gas! I'll never tell! But he sleeps through it but I suffer with it most nights in the middle of the night. Good topic maybe somebody has ideas... Julie

You know, so many folks have talked about this as a big problem after WLS but I haven't had any problems with gas since I'm home from the hospital
