Foodsaver
So I have one of those vacuum seal thingies. I haven't used it in a while, but now I use it a lot. I'm tired of having the same food all week long to get rid of leftovers and to not waste $ or food.
I just take my left overs or doggie bag from the restraunt and put it in the fridge (to make the liquids, juices solid).
I then take out about an ounce or two and seal it in individual packets. These then go in the freezer, so when I am in the mood for roast, it is already seasoned and cooked. Then you just boil water and put the sealed packet in there. It warms it back up with out drying out. Then you just open it and eat!
You can microwave too, but I prefer boiling water.
Let me know what you do to keep meals different and flavorful.
::hugs::

Cyndi thanks for the tip. I've been thinking of buying one anyway so now I will for sure. It will probably keep the food better than the cheap-o supermarket tupperware knockoffs I've been buying. They melt quickly in the microwave.
I wanted to let you guys know that I discovered leftover steak and baked potato to be very good. My husband and I went to Outback a couple nights ago and now that I'm allowed to eat steak that's what I wanted. I ordered the small filet, which is 7 ounces before cooking so probably like 6 ounces afterward. I ordered it with a baked potato which are always quite small at Outback. I asked for my salad to be put into a to go container and I brought it for lunch the next day. I ate almost half of the steak and almost half of the baked potato while we were there, and asked the server to box up the rest. Last night I warmed it up in the microwave and it was almost as good as it was fresh at the restaurant. So for the price of one dinner I got 3 very satisfying meals! I wasn't sure a leftover baked potato would be any good but it was great!
I also use my food saver, but not for leftovers. I usually cook for the family first, I make just enough for them with enough left over for hubby to take to work for dinner and then I make myself something after theirs is done. This works out better for me since I still can;t eat most of what they eat.
