Post Op Planner
Has anyone looked back at the post op planner? I just did and am now very depressed. I am way off what the chart says I should be at. According to that if I want to get to goal I should weigh about 30lb.s less than I do. I don't even have my goal set at my ideal weight. I don't know what else I could be doing. I lose about 15 lb.s a month now, but that just doesn't seem like enough.
Leeanne

Leanne,
Try not to freak about it, easy for me to say huh?
You are doing fantastic and have come a long way in a short amount of time.
I have a goal weight of 180, this is not my ideal weight but it is a realistic number. This weight was calculated by predicting that I would lose 75% of my excess weight. I started at 306. According to the post op planner, I should hit goal around month 14.
This month my weight loss should have been 63#, I have lost 57 in total. It is not 63 but I will take the 57 anyday.
God Bless,
Jen
Leeanne do you realize that 15lbs a month will be 150lbs in 10 months
You are doing awesome don't let that stupip chart get you down. It's only a guideline not the endall and beall of where we all have got to be.
Do yourself a favor girlfriend.....don't look at it again. You are doing do well just believe in yourself. You'll be just fine!

Leanne,
I put in the weight I started out with which was 320 and I put I wanted to lose 85% (which may be unrealistic but my doctor says almost all lose 70%) and doing this I should way 247 in month 3 and guess what? I weigh 247!!!
I don't know if I will make it to the 85% but I will work hard. And don't get discouraged because some days I do but it comes off!! I look at myself in the mirror and can't believe it's me!!
It will be enough! This time next year will be different we will wonder how we got there but we will! I have faith!!
Hugs,
Julie

Um....how can that be correct? It says I should be at 203, if I figure 75% loss of my extra body weight. I'm 30lbs heavier than that right now.
Sorry, that doesn't seem right to me. Leeanne, 15lbs a month is perfect! Think in terms of calories burned...it takes what, 3500 calories burned to lose one lb. What is the max you should lose in a week? Anything more than that must be muscle, the way I see it.
You're doing fine...and so am I so there.
