I was hoping I could skip the whole hair thing...... but I am not one of the lucky ones! I am bummed and just had to tell you all that I HATE IT!!!!! A girl at the support group said she never got hers back (2 years later)! YIKES! Thanks for letting me vent. ~K

Kristie, I started losing my hair maybe week before last. I was sure that I'd be bald by the end of the week! It's slowed down a bit, but I still don't like it. No.....I hate it too! Everyone is different, so hopefully ours will grow back longer and stronger. April

Every time I shower at the gym, then comb out my hair, it goes flying. Chele

I think I am in denial.....I have seen it all over the sink and just keep saying that it is just dry and breaking off. maybe I should get a haircut and see if it helps. Although I know it is really falling out I still don't want to admmit to it.....let's all have a good cry together!!! I hope it ends soon for us all!! Steph

Mine has been coming out also! I figure another month and I will be done with it. I was worried about it but shoot, I would rather be bald then fat! Dana

Twinnie, I don't think we will ever forget what we went through when we were pre ops. I remember vividly how horrible I felt (and still do sometimes), as others were approved, got their dates, and had their surgery, while I had to wait... and wait... and wait some more. We have to battle tooth and nail month after month, and it seems the lighter weight people get through everything in a couple of months. I was suppose to have had surgery last April and didn't have my surgery until December! Big difference. I too think of where I could of/ should of been by now. I should be a year post op right now instead of 4 months, but it didn't work out that way. Even when we are at our goal weights, we will always be SMO's at heart and never forget where we came from. Kristi, I think most of us are experiencing this side effect of the surgery. It sure is a sucky on. That is one of the reasons I want to cut my hair. Not only am I losing it but the strands seem so very thin compared to preop. And ... you know it is only my pretty brown ones that fall out 99% of the time, none of those beautiful, glimmery silver strands seem to want to leave. I did not post this before but should have --- YOUR NEW PICTURE IS FANTASTIC. I had to look at your profile to recognize the "old" you and realize the "new" you was really you. It is such a change, you are SMOKIN! God Bless, Jen
