Good Eats
Okay, so I always hear about people not wanting to eat and they just don't like food anymore.....not me! I love finding new healthy recipes to use and when they taste good it's even better!!! I mean, I really love food....I have a better appreciation for it now that I'm not just stuffing my face to be stuffing my face. I'm so happy that I can say I love food, but in a good way. Not only that, but I feel good when I'm eating something so good and I can stop after eating a few bites. I found some really good treats this week at the grocery store that puts a little spice in my life
. I don't know if anyone has mentioned these before. The first thing is the South Beach cereal bars. I have the chocolate ones. 140 calories, 5g fat, 15g carbs (3 fiber), 10g protein. They are sooooo good. And they put a little treat in your life since we really can't have sweets. It's not something I would eat every day because of the carbs.....I try to space my carbs out throughout the day. The next thing I tried out was the Pure Protein bars. Very good! 170 cals, 4.5g fat, 3 net carbs, 20g of protein. Now this tastes like a candy bar....really. I only eat half at a time...I feel guilty because I feel like i'm eating candy
. It's really good for on the go or a snack at night. I know some people are going to look at the calories in these products but most people only eat half and you burn calories by just staring in the mirror
. Plus, we need the energy. Just wanted to share my new finds. Have a great one!

I just bought some of the met rx protein plus bars at walmart and they are like a really thick candy bar too!! 19g protein, 0 trans fat and only 3 net carbs!! they do have 190 cals though, but I usually dont get enough of those anyway. and only 1 g sugar. I love them, they are my new treat!! Isn't it great that we can find something that is good and tastes like a treat as well? Take care!!

Hi April, i think this should also be a new post, maybe not every day, but weekly? where we can post new products we have found that are WLS friendly and yummy! I had a frozen pizza last week that was awesome, I think it was Digiorno Harvest Wheat Crust, but it had a very thin whole wheat crust and the nutrition facts were pretty good, I think over 15grams of protien for 1 piece, I wish I had the box! Anyhow, for those pizza lovers.
