Thanks for posting this!! Luckily I am allergic to it and can't consume it. It wasn't until I contacted a WLS that I found out that over 20% of the population is allergic to it. My sister and her hubby and daughter drink diet pepsi constantly. I've warned her and pointed out all of her symptons. I've explained that as diabetics this stuff still raises sugar alcohols and is poison. She won't listen. I'll send this article to her.. maybe THIS will be what makes a difference. I use Stevia and haven't had a single problem. I've recently tried "Sweet and Low" and found that I prefer the Stevia. Again thanks for sharing.. this is very important. And if you are a label reader I think it will amaze you to see how many foods contain this stuff! Now they blend it with Sucralose (splenda) which I also can't tolerate. It's in certain breads and all kinds of foods where you wouldn't expect it.

I can PERSONALLY attest to this. In October 1994 I started having excurciating headaches. I was also throwing up a lot. I was miserable. I had thousands of dollars in tests (I thought I had a brain tumor) and not one of them showed what was wrong. I just kept getting more and more sick each day. My sister read an article about aspartame and told me. I stopped ALL of it and within a few days, I was a different person! I was being poisoned by this stuff. Now, if I inadvertantly get something with NutraSweet in it, I immediately react... my mouth goes numb, my face has shooting pains, my color goes ashen and I start throwing up. I have a headache and get so weak I have to go to bed for hours. I won't buy anything with that poison in it! Margie

Isn't it weird that there is such a difference from 9 lbs ago? I don't get that. But...I'm not gonna complain! Thank you for the encouragement. Chele
