Dr dissappointed in me :(

Thanks for the replies. I know what I need to do... 1. Be proud of the lost so far 297 to 205 that is 92 pounds! 2. Get back on program with 3 1/4 cp meals Protien first 3. NO SNACKING and more sipping! Just because I CAN eat something doesn't mean I should. Thanks again for all the comments. I am going to go for a jog on the treadmill. 200 in two weeks

Kymberlee, we had surgery the same day. My surgeon is disappointed in me too. However, if we are doing what we're supposed to do then I don't get it. I'm really not pleased with the fact that my weight is coming off so slow either but I sure as hell don't need my doctor telling me that whatever I'm doing isn't good enough. I walked out feeling quite abused as well so I'm hoping the rest of my visits are classes rather than one-on-one because I really walked out of his office feeling like a loser and not in the good sense. I don't recommend the diet pills though - they are generally sustained release which will just go right through you without doing anything anyway. I took Meridia to help me lose the pre-op weight and I don't think it really helped. In fact, if you read the patient information sheet included, it says one of the side effects of Meridia is INCREASED appetite. My surgeon said there are no plateaus this early either - that the first 18 months should be rapid weight loss without any plateaus and if I do hit a plateau it's my own fault. However, I refuse to believe that because I'm not eating more than I'm supposed to. I don't get sick on anything either, so I do eat the marshmallow see's candy that my husband hates, but I don't think that little piece of candy has caused my weight to hang on. I think that both of us will do fine and we have to fight the head hunger. I fight it with splenda-sweetened kool-aid. It tastes sweet and sugary and evil, and I just keep drinking it. Some people can fight off head hunger with water - I cannot. It needs to be something with a powerful flavor. Give it a try and let's stick together! We were reborn on the same day!!

Kymberlee I just noticed you're in Danville and with Kaiser - who is your surgeon? I wonder if we have the same one...

Gwen we did have the same surgeon... Maybe he messed up and made our pouch too big?? Or maybe he wants all his patients to be quick losers.
