Gas prices!! PLEASE READ!
I just got this in my email and I think it is a great idea, thought I would share with everyone!

Gasoline prices
This was originally sent by a retired Coca Cola executive. It came from
one of his engineer buddies *****tired from Halliburton. It's worth
your consideration.
Join the resistance!!!! I hear we are going to hit close to
$4.00 a gallon by this summer and it might go higher!! Want gasoline
prices to come down?
We need to take some intelligent, united action. Phillip Hollsworth
offered this good idea.
This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on a certain day"
campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just
laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt"
ourselves by refusing to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience to us
than it was a problem for them.
BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can
really work. Please read on and join with us! By now you're probably
thinking gasoline priced at about $1.50 is super cheap. Me too! It is
currently $2.89 for regular unleaded in Smithtown, NY. Now that the oil
companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the
cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at $1.50 - $1.75, we need to take
aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the
marketplace..... not sellers. With the price of gasoline going up more
each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going
to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the
pocketbook by not purchasing their gas! And, we can do that WITHOUT
hurting ourselves. How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just
stop buying gas. But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act
together to force a price war.
Here's the idea:
For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY gasoline from the two
biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL. If they are not
selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they
reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.
But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon and
Mobil gas buyers. It's really simple to do! Now, don't wimp out at this
point.... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach
millions of people.
I am sending this note to more than 30 people. If each of us sends it
to at least ten more (30 x 10 =3D 300) ... and those 300 send it to at
least ten more (300 x 10 =3D 3,000)...and so on, by the time the
message reaches the sixth group of people, we will have reached over
THREE MILLION consumers.
If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each,
then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level
further, you guessed it..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!
Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all. (If you
don't understand how we can reach 300 million and all you have to do is
send this to 10 people.... Well, let's face it, you just aren't a
mathematician. But I am, so trust me on this one.)
How long would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten
more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could
conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!!
I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you?
Acting together we can make a difference. If this makes sense to you,
please pass this message on. I suggest that we not buy from EXXON/MOBIL
UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $1.30 RANGE AND KEEP THEM DOWN.
THIS CAN REALLY WORK.
Yesterday was horrible, do you know how much time I spent looking at the clock to see how much more time had passed? It was awful. Then last night I had SF FF vanilla pudding(at least I did measure it) and an apple. About a an extra 180 calories I hadnt planned for. And another .4 on the scales this morning. Today has been better so far. I am sitting here munching on lunch as we speak(type). Im saving some water to drink tonight so Ill have something to do. Last night after dinner I had gotten in all my water so I didnt feel I had to drink any.
Taking new measures tonight,
Candy
****ep telling myself at least the snacking choices I made were good, healthy ones, oh and I hauled off the rest of the pudding to my great grandmother this morning!)
Ohhh...I hate to report this as I did VERY poorly last night in the snacking department - literally made myself sick.
So...I stopped at an...ummmm..."not for children" store on the way home from my surgeon's appointment cuz I was feeling OH so hot and sexy. So I got something that may...ummm..."help" matters become a little hotter and sexier when I got home after my meeting that I had at 7. So, I call hubby when I was leaving said store (didn't tell him I'd stopped) and told him I was about 40 minutes from home and hadn't planned anything for dinner as I didn't know what time I would be home from my docs appointment. (It was now around 4:15ish) I suggested pizza and to make sure to get mine thin crust with mushrooms and some sort of lower fat meat (beef, chicken, etc.). So he tells me of a 2 large pizza deal for $18 and I said SURE! Well, I don't know if you've tried them, but Dominos thin crust pizzas are basically like crackers so I can eat quite a bit of it, like pretty much 1/2 of a medium. So, I get home - put said "items" upstairs (hubby still doesn't know if it) and proceed to eat a few slices of pizza. I felt comfortable, no worries. So, I head out to my meeting where they've got cookies, cheese, crackers, veggies, etc. I've not had any sugar since surgery and don't plan to so the cookies weren't an issue but YES, the cheese was! I grabbed two slices on my way out the door with a whole grain cracker and start my drive home. I call hubby and suggest that if he needed one, it might be in his best interest to shower
hint, hint...
So, I get home, the kids are bathing and stuff (it's about 8:30) and I proceed to head into the kitchen (not the slightest bit hungry) and munch on some of my leftover pizza and a few sf cookies. Well, I'm full, so we watch tv a little bit (now around 9ish) and he goes to take a shower and I munch a little bit more of my leftover pizza. He comes downstairs (now around 10ish) and we watch a little more television as I see there are only 2 slices left of my pizza (no, I hadn't eaten it ALL, the kids had some of it, too) so I think, "Well, that's not really enough for a meal so I'll just fini**** off" BUT I'M NOT HUNGRY AND AM ACTUALLY PRETTY FULL!! So I drink about 1/2 a glass of wine and grab the last 2 slices and had to go throw up after the first slice cuz I'm just uncomfortable at this point.
Needless to say, the "items" are still in the drawer and hubby still doesn't know about them, but hopefully we'll get to them today sometime.

Exxon/Mobil is not the only oil company charging high prices to the consumer, it is just the largest. It is getting the most negative publicity because of it's size. There are a lot of things that we as consumers do not understand. I think the government will step in and regulate any wrong doing. By the way, my husband and I are the Exxon/Mobil gas distributors in Rusk County Texas. We also own 7 mini marts that sell gas. It is not fun being me right now. We are honest, hard working people--just like you. Our station prices are set by how much we have to pay for our fuel, and we certainly don't price gouge as I am sure other Exxon/Mobil distributors and station owners don't also. This email makes me very sad.
Good Morning!
My husband comes home from his 6 month deployment on Tuesday!
( I just had to throw that in! )
My starting BMI was: 48.2 (346 pounds)
My current BMI is: 25.1 (180 pounds as of this morning)
I am 5 foot 11 inches tall and I have to lose 14 more pounds to get to surgeon's goal of 166. But I am totally happy where I am, I wanted to be under 200 pounds and I am. Actually if I lose 1 more pound, then my BMI will be 'normal' and not 'overweight'.
Anywhoo,
Have a super Friday! TGIF!
Stacy
