Our Fair

Hi everyone! The fair has been quite exciting! Sofia showed her lamb, Austin on Wednesday. She didn't do as well as we hoped, but Austin isn't the best lamb in the world so we can't be disappointed. She was the only one in her showmanship class so she got a blue ribbon! whoo hooo! We've decided to pull austin from the auction and feed him for the next fair in July. He was only 127 and can easily carry 140/150 pounds, so we'll push him up. Plus Sofia already knows how to show him, so she can work him more now. Tomorrow is the rabbit show- my pride and joy. I can't wait for it actually, we have two incredible judges coming out and I've really worked my kids so they should be well prepared for the show. I have about 3 out of my seven members who truly love showing and are dedicated, the others are kinda wishy washy lol. All week people I have shown with forever are coming up and commenting on how great I look and how I look like a completely different person! It really does make me feel so much better about myself and I smile the rest of the day- but then again I'm always smiling lol! Tomorrow will be a kicker... I haven't been to a rabbit show since right after surgery and haven't seen the judges or any other breeders in so long. I wonder if they'll have the same reaction I haven't ever really wanted to dress up for fairs or shows since I'll get dirty anyways, but today we went to wal mart and got me a button front scrub top since I am planning to dress super cute tomorrow for the show. Gotta look good for the hotties right? lol!!! (little 4-H youngsters lol ) Its late, I'm sorry for giggling too much lol! Anywho, so we got me a scrub and its a 2X!!!! The 3X was a whopping tent on me, so awesome! I took pics too, but haven't uploaded them yet. I'll let you all know my pics are up hopefully by Monday. I'll have lamb, rabbit and me pics for you all! Good morning Jaci Just a quick note heading out the door to work..... Do you every make it up to San Mateo County for the fair? How far are you from San Mateo.....I owuld love to see you at one of your 4-H meets. The fair in this county is in August....Take care Suzan
