Of all the dumb things...
I think you should reconcider the exercise for the next week. If your toe would fail to heal or not heal properly you could develop an osteomylitis, a recurring infection in the bone. It is very hard to heal and would cause alot more problems than a week off your feet.
Hope you feel better soon.

Poor Chele!
Im sorry , hun ..but thats a very strong argument to support that VACUUMING is DANGEROUS TO YOUR HEALTH! well, I tried..
Ive done the very same thing..ended up in Emergency for stitches...it seems that I tore the entire top of my toe off below the nail bed..just hanging by a tiny string..*shudders remembering*..they told me that Id never have another toenail on that toe again, that Id destroyed the nail bed...but months later, I found that they have stitched the top of my toe on CROOKED! Because the nail DOES still grow and its always digging into the side of the NEXT toe.
And just how did this all happen, you may ask? (even if you didnt, here is the story anyways):
Id been working like a maniac preparing a huge Thanksgiving dinner for us, my parents and HIS parents...cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, cooking, roasting..til everything was spotless and the turkey was in the oven..I returned from getting some veggies from the freezer and there, in the middle of the living room, stands hubby on a ladder..hammering up wooden beams to the cathedral ceilling!!! sawdust everywhere!!! I screamed..I tripped over the vacuum cleaner that he had pulled back out to "clean up the lil bit of mess he was making" and tore off my toe! The I said wrds lie GOSH! GEE! and DARN! as he drove me to the hospital....grrrrr...
anyway, thats my story and Im stickin' to it!

...I TOE'D you so!
*laughs* oh Chele!
That was years ago and NOW I can laugh...lol..I called my parents and his and told them to come LATER for dinner since the turkey was already in the oven and JB had vacuumed the living room again...guess I got myself all in a snit over nothing..and have the crooked toe now to prove it! but i was SO trying to impress my in laws!
I hope that your toe heals quickly, hun..I know how that hurts.
*gentle hugs*

Chele,
I am sooo sorry to hear that you broke your toe!! I know that little one hurts more than it looks like it will. My cousin peeled out on my 3 wheeler when I was a kid and I had no shoes on, so they hit my little toe and it flew to the side and crack!! Boy did that suck. I taped mine to the other toe too, it helped me with the pain also....I hope it heals quick!!
