Weekend Woes

Do you notice that you are more lax during the weekend compared to the weekdays? I workout and get the exercise in, but I mean in terms of vitamins, protein and fluids. Maybe I'm the only one...but I guess I'm partially confessing and partially curious. I am on my period and when that happens, I don't want to eat...and I SURE don't want to eat anything good for me. Protein shakes went out the window today...so did fluids. I haven't taken any vitamins either. It has been a very busy day, but that is absolutely no excuse, I realize that (so please, no flames). It's so much easier for me to stay on schedule during the weekdays. Chele

I am feeling pretty hangdog about the way I ate today: grazing all day---- I tried to count my cals, but it's all "a bite of this, a bit of that". I woke up feeling restless and hungry and kept at it all day long. This is a BIG problem for me. I will have a better day tomorrow. Live and learn--- I'm gonna get over it and improve. At least I had a long stroll. You know, Chele, I'm really learning that for me this is still going to be a struggle--- all my lessons about eating have not been learned yet. I have a better handle on things than ever before, but I'm still a woman that has to stay vigilant. I'm still a 'work in progress'! And yes, the weekday structure is easier for me. Cathy

Cathy, I guess the good thing is that we realize these things and can work to correct them. I think each and every one of us will have to work at this...the whole ball of yarn, whether we like it or not, for the rest of our lives. The pounds can magically find us again, if we're not careful. Thanks for replying! Chele

I can't say that weekends are different than week days for me. I guess it's because I don't work weekdays or weekends and I don't have kids in school. All days are the same for me. So why did I write? At least take your vit., even if it is as you go to bed. If you are one that takes calcium seperate from iron, take them at the same time anyway, it is better than not taking them. Protien, we can go a day with that low, but missing vit. can be a problem. So please take them. Thank you.

weekends are hard for me too. I can tell I slack off. get relaxed or busy and just don't think about it all as much as during the week. catch up on sleep mainly. we are only human.

I do have a much harder time on weekends. My DH and I were just discussing this, because he noticed it. I think we are out of our normal routine and that is part of it. Also, for me weekends have always been for relaxing and doing what you want and not having to "conform". You are not alone Chele! Leeanne

I get so busy on the weekends that I forget to eat...... let alone drink. By Sunday nights I can feel the effects of what I've done to my body and it ususally takes me a good 24 hrs of pushing my fluids before I feel better! Susan
