Chele, I put this in the weigh-in post, but I wanted to reassure you - it will come off! I was very depressed as I had only lost 4 pounds this month and had only about a wee****il my 4 month surgiversary. Well, this week I lost an additional 8 pounds. It just fell off and I don't have any idea why, as I hadn't done anything differently. Please don't get too down - the weight WILL come off. I guess it just chooses it's own time. Hugs, Beth

Chele, you and I seem to have somewhat of the same problems at the same time....This month I am on track to lose only 8 pounds (the 10th is actually the day I count) and I am NOT happy.... perhaps it is our slow time, but IT BETTER PICK UP....lol anyway...I, speaking only for myself, have been a little ummmm shall we say naughty sometimes...not exercising but once a week, eating snacks not getting my protein in first, so I think that is my problem.....anything you want to confess... Chele-----! You are very hard on yourself, I think! First of all, round up: 5 pounds lost!!! Also, 5 pounds a month is 60 pounds and 6 sizes down in a year. No to mention, that overall you lose more than that. Give your poor old body a break--all it's been through and it's kicking that metabolism into gear for you. I'm starting to lose slower, too. I'm determined to learn how to love my body--- I've taken to calling my body "my good old gal". She's doing everything for me and letting me feel so much healthier-- I'm not going to give her a hard time about losing faster ----tee-hee! I've seen your profile you are a living doll and you must feel so good. You look 15 years younger with that swanky little body you are getting---keep your chin up! Cathy

P.S. No one who has dimples is allowed to complain. That's my rule--- I always wanted darling little dimples and you got them! SO---! That's it for you, Chele! Not another peep! Cathy

Hey, Chele! I had my 3 month checkup last Monday and I was only 4 pounds down this time! Was I disappointed? you bet I was! However, what the scales are NOT showing is the inches that are disappearing..my clothes are getting baggier..Im walking easier, my lymphodemic legs arent hurting near as much...I am even walking a Half Mile several times a week!!! NOw I am one who used to dread the walk from the house..off the porch..then to the car...and back..and here I am managing to walk a half a mile! This is MAJOR for me! So dont forget the changes are still happening..even if the scales dont record them....pfffftt! we ned to stop focusing on the NUMBERS and to celebrate the good changes that are coming too! Today I had to visit mother at her retirement apartment and she commented (wow! that alone surprised me!) how I was certainly losing weight! Id mentioned that Id forgotten to wear a shirt over my rather clingy dress and she suggested I look in her closet at a shirt she never wore but was still in the back with tags on. I naturally told her that I couldnt possibly fit in that sj=hirt but she insisted I try it on...well I was STUNNED... It FIT!!! So dont worry so much about the numbers, hun..the changes, they are a'happenin'! Nancy B ...celebrating the small things!
