Just a cuiousity question, but how many of you wonderful women out there are planning on getting pregnant in the future? I am hoping to, my doc says I need to wait till my weight stabilizes, about 12-18 months out. What do your docs say? Any worries, concerns???? I'm also wondering, I'm definetely going to need something done plastic surgery wise with my tummy and maybe arms. I wonder how long you have to wait to get pregnant after those procedures??? I have a four, almost five year old right now. Before surgery I wasn't sure if I wanted more. I was tired and sore a lot. But now, with ENERGY, the passion is back in me. I love being amom more than anything. Take care and lots of love to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Christie

YES YES YES. I want many more babies. I love being a mom and waited 14 years and 1 month for Gracie. My surgeon said to wait 12-18 months. If I absolutely could not wait that at 6 months there should not be a problem with the baby developing. I am going to wait the 18 months. Unless God has other plans. My hubby and I are using condoms so we are being cautious. But come June of 2007 ... we are gonna be busy .... The nurse coordinator however had very strong opinions that you absolutely had to wait 18 months minimum. Now a question for you ... why would you have plastice surgery BEFORE having a baby? I plan to wait until I am done being pregnant. Why have nice tight skin only to strech it out and add more stretch marks? God bless, Jen

The nurse coordiantor we work with bluntly told us we'd have to wait two years, no ifs ands or buts... My husband took that and thought that was it, 2 years and nothing less. My physicians (love them both) state it is ok to get pregnant when your weight stabilizes, which will usually be around 12-18 months. I'll see what happens. I started out at 380lbs, I had a scan that said I should weigh around 220. I'll never be skinny, I never have been. I'm one of those truly big bones girls. I have an apron now, hanging lower than when I was 92lbs heavier. I can't go another 2-3 years with it. I'd rather have the tummy tuck and it stretch a bit when I'm pregnant then wait till afterwards. And Who knows, I might want to have a few babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll have to see what the doc says. Take care, good luck and lots of love

ABSOLUTELY!! In fact that is one of the many reasons i had WLS, Dh and I tried for 2 years and since there was no trouble concieving my daughter, i think a lot of the problem this time was my weight. I weighed 100 pounds more the second time we tried than I did when I got pregnant with my daughter. I will not start "trying" until 12 months out, but if it happens before then, I won't be disappointed. I really want more children. I am not a very patient girl so waiting 12-18 months is going to be VERY hard, but I know it is for the best. Karyn

I'm not sure. Some days I want one more other days I am content with the 2 I have. My doc also said to wait 18 mons before getting pregnant. But he advised if I wanted to do it, do it right then so I won't have to wait too long for a TT (if needed). Dawn

I already have two beautiful healthy boys and I had been considering having another but BUT... Now that I have dropped all this weight I am discovering that I am happy with mylife and with our family dynamic. I don't know if I would want to go thru the whole having a newborn again and such. I'm really wanting a tummy tuck next year so that would mean no baby for me. But who knows I could change my mind in a year or so. Jesse has told me no more so maybe I will stick with his decision and let 2 be the magic number for us. Dana

Yes. I cannot wait to have a skinny pregnancy! I was 342 when I concieved my daughter (now 4.5) and 365 when I concieved my son (now 3). I want to wear cute maternity clothing! That said, we will wait the reccomended 18 months, by our surgeon. Bridget
