hair loss
I also am at the point where I am loosing some of my hair.
I am 3 months out and knew that this would be coming up soon; plus I have been told by other post-ops that it happens in the 3-4 months. I will just go with the flow and hope I don't go completely bald.
I can say that I am happy with my current weight loss of 50 pounds since the day of surgery.

I think the hair loss is increasing now
I've always just cleared the hair from the drain at the END of the shower; this morning, I had to clear the drain twice DURING the shower because the water couldn't go down. Not a happy thought!
I don't think it's really noticable to anyone but me yet, but I'm not sure how long that will remain true.

Kate,
I KNOW what you mean. Mine has started coming out in handfuls as well and since it was thin and fine in the beginning....well, you can just imagine. I had my hairdresser ( a friend who does it at her apartment to save me money) cut it very short in that new everything flipped up look and it now looks thicker. Something good to try ( I used to be a hairdresser) is Redken Rewind. It is a styling product that makes it look thicker.
