Topic: RE: anyone else exercising?!
Sarah, The last two weeks I've been exercising daily. We went on a cruise to the Mexican Rivieria. I took the stairs 85% of the time (100% the first 3 days). Then I help take care of my 3 year old nephew on the cruise too and he kept his Auntie Mary pretty active ... LOL. Then a full day at the San Diego zoo and a full day of walking at Sea World ...both days walked along the bay in San Diego too. What fun. On the cruise, we walked in port the 3 days we had port calls. I ate pretty sensibly too so hoping I didn't gain any weight. Mary

LOL; at the office now, I'm "one of the girls"; it used to be just the women in the office that were cold - most of the men (including me) were fine. I find that post-op I notice a lot more when it's cool, and that's even with the just 100 lb weight loss I've had.

Topic: RE: Protein Shakes?
It's kinda funny; my surgeon didn't want us doing shakes after week 6 for whatever reason.. Wanted us to try to get in our protein using food. I'll use bars for meal replacements when I can't manage to get to something decent (usually EAS Advantedge bars, because they tend to be lower carb and it doesn't take much to make me dump and/or start the blood sugar spike/crash roller coaster), but I haven't had much in the line of shakes... but that's the closest I'll usually end up to protein supplementing... That being said, I haven't measured what I take in in protein in an average day since... I can't honestly remember when. I probably should..

I had gotten to the point I couldn't take it anymore with the protein. I get my protein from my food. Happy Wednesday! Shirley

Topic: Protein Shakes?
I've noticed that since about November, I've not been getting my protein in with shakes. I got to the point that I just couldn't make myself finish one. (Now why didn't I ever get that way with chocolate!!!) Do you still use protein shakes to get some of your protein in or do you get it all in with food?

Thanks for the replies Jill and April! Its good to know I'm not an odd-ball. Sometimes, my hands get so cold I can barely move my fingers. Like you said, it is a small price to pay for our healthier selves! Wanda
