I will be having my surgery on the 21st and am just not sure if the Dr. will give me a diet plan and a list of the pills i will need to take? Any help would be great!! Thanks so much!!

Hey everyone! I've just been approved and have a surgery date of Monday, Feb. 26. I'm so excited I just about can hardly contain myself! Anyone else going in that same day??

Hey everyone! April, I'm totally going through the 'I want pizza and chocolate' thing too....and thinking 'How can I do this post op if I can't pre op?' But the whole craving/binging thing is why we have problems with losing weight and keeping it off, Right? So I think/hope we all will do fine, because we won't be able to eat as much of the junk that's being craved after surgery.

My doctor has me on a no starch diet. I also can't have red meat or any leafy veggies. So i am screwed!!!! I feel like if i can't stick to this than how am i going to stick to the after surgery stuff.. I am also having the worst cravings ever. I want chocolate and Pizza. I am not gonna do it though, and my husband wont let me.. THANK GOD!!!!

Topic: and now I know
My date is Mon, Feb 26th. Everything was confrimed today. I start a 2 wk restrictive diet begining Monday. This weekend, my husband and I are going away and celebrating my b-day and Valentine's Day. I had to postpone my first date in Oct, due to some other medical issues. I want to stay healthy and look forward to a smooth procedure. I am nervous, but am refusing to let myself think about it too much.
Topic: Tomorrow's my day
9 hours before my surgery and I am nervous. Had my las****er. Last meal at a Francy French place (Valentine's Day a week before) and got too full for dessert. Anyway, my son is freaking out thinking I might not make it and I keep telling him that I have a bazillion things I need to do thin, that I have not been able to do fat. SO I will wake up. Anyway, send me good vibes and thoughts. It's all good.
So I'll post Saturday I guess when I get home.

Topic: 6 Days Post-Op
Tomorrow will be one week since my WLS (RNY) and I feel good! Great is just around the corner! I am getting all of my protein and water in with little challenge. I feel like someone beat me up and walk a bit slower when I first rise but all in all I have to say I think I am blessed with my healing process. I have to stop weighing myself!!! I can't wait to see the scale decrease in the number of lbs. Enloe Hospital in Chico was fantastic! I was again blessed with a great surgeon Dr. D. Ludwig and the whole staff at this office as well as at Enloe were all angels! I made new friends and look forward to visiting them after I loose my weight. I did have a challenge with constipation before and after surgery. That was my only hurdle. My husband was my savior! I couldn't have continued my WLS journey without the support of my family and new friends in OH. This site is a Godsend. Thanks to all of those who prayed and kept me in their thoughts during my surgery. Love to all OH members. I am proud to be a new member of the loosing team! Ya Hu!! :D
