Topic: anyone had lapband in Feburary? RNYs welcome
Hi, I just dropped by. I don't see any Bansters here. My experience is very different from you guys. I'm loosing more slowly, as to be expected. I've lost 31 lps. I can eat about 1 -1.5 cups per meal. I can't related to the 1/4 cup 55 lb losses. I mean of course i can relate, but, i can't compare notes. I can relate to the one bite of bagel i ate this morning and it got STUCK like a golf ball in my chest for an hour. When will i learn?

Topic: Weight loss since Feb
When was your surgery date? How much have you lost so far? How much to your goal? How do you think you could help someone else that seems to be stuck? Surgery date: Feb 7th, 2007 Weight loss so far: 65 pounds To goal: 55 pounds Help: I thinking posting in our profile about our high and low points will help. I also think posting what it took to get approved will help someone. Also, responding and answering questions for newbies is great. When GOD gave us the opportunity to have this surgery.........he also gave us the opportunity to help someone else.

My surgery was on Feb 7th. I have lost 65 pounds. I am happy with the results. Lets see...WOW moments..... Being able to walk, talk and breathe all at the same time, crossing my leggs are a big thing, I do it all the time too, without even thinking. Not having anything to wear because I am shrinking out of everything. Learning how to take all of the compliments I get, being able to grocery shop, the extreme pain I have in my back eases up more, being able to walk to and on the beach again, being able to wear heals again, putting on a short skirt and knowing I look good in it, my face being so much thinner and changing everyday, my family complimenting me, watching my boys react when they see someone flurting with me, buying a new bathing suit that was a 16-18 (my last one was a 26), the refreshed sex life at home, being able to clean house better, being able to play sports with my two teenage boys....Oh GOD my list could go on forever. Life has changed so much for the better. I have a hard time making myself eat too. I wasn't a big eater before surgery, and I too have to make myself eat. Eating once a day is good for me. I love fruit and vegs, meat and I are still learning to get along. Usually I can only take a few bites and have to move around so it will go down. Boiled shrimp, steamed crab leggs and oysters go down real good. Life is good.

Hi Donna, I understand what you are going through. I have lost 63 pounds total. I feel great. What my NUT has stated over and over again is to no matter what get in 80-90 grams of protein a day and drink all your water. She also told me not to worry about calories and to eat little carbs and focus on foods that are high in protein. There is this website called fitday.com which I have been using and it is a great tool to use during your journey. My website which you can look at is http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/PublicJournals.html?Owner=funnydi it gives you my nutritional information. When I see my doctor in a week I will have him look over it to see if my eating habits are good or bad or things that I need to change. I feel strongly that this is the most difficult part after surgery because I have no idea if what I am eating is right . I suggest to try it out the website. Take Care ~Diana~

OK OK....I have been really bad about posting, but no one on this board ever keeps it going so I am a board hopper! I will say that My surgery was on 2/1 an I am down 70lbs and have gone from a size 22 to a 12/14, depending on what the style is. I do hate low rise jeans. I am not really exercising per say a regimen, but I have five kids and work full time and my kids are very active in ball so I am constantly going and am never home or sitting down. I mow the lawn without huffing and puffing. I cross my legs constantly. That is one of the best things about this. I also love to look at myself in the mirror. I can't believe how hot I am. I had a woman at work actually tell me I am a milf, she was just joking of course, but she was trying to let me know how great I was looking these days. I have hard time eating though. I think I should be eating more but I am not. Some days it takes me sitting dow forcing myself, which in turn makes me sick So how is everyone else doing. Has anyone had any great wow moments? Mine was getting in those 12 strech jeans today (I could careless they were stretch as lon as they were a 12)! Lets keep this board a running!

Topic: RE: What'cha all doing for exercise?
I work out at the gym and try to go 5 days out of the week. I walk on the treadmill for about 1 hour at a 6.0 incline and at 3.3 speed. To switch it up I will go on the elliptical machine for an hour. I try to burn between 300-400 calories a day at the gym. Also I have a trainer that I see once a week to help with toning my muscles. I do a lot of arm exercises, crunches, and leg presses. Once I get enough courage I want to try yoga. I would swim but I just do not feel comfortable yet in a bathing suit. heheh
