Topic: RE: What is your average weight loss?
Today was my six week check up and I lost 42 lbs. So that appears to be just about the average. I know that everyone loses differently though.

Topic: 3 weeks out of surgery and eating too much?
Is anyone else having this problem? I can eat much more than the 1/4-1/2 cup that I am supposed to eat, I can actually eat a plateful of soft food. I went to a transition class today, and everyone else was tlaking about not being able to eat more than a 1/4-1/2 cup of food. I am able to drink 64 oz of fluid per day without issue? I weighed in and only lost 4lbs since 3/6- I had surgery on 2/26. I feel like I have ruined my entire surgery!

Topic: RE: 11 days PS and my Stomach still feels swollen!!! Is this normal?
I had mine on the 27th, lapband I occassionally have trouble laying on my sides, other wise I feel great my incisions itch a little, the two big ones are taking forever to heal though, I didnt react well to the internal sutures. but the muscles feel fine now, it took me about two weeks for the soreness to wear off but I've not felt swollen or anything like that

I'm forgetting to eat too! Right now, it's easier for me to drink then to worry about what to eat! HA!! From a TMI standpoint, my urine color is darker than I'd like so I've been OBSCESSED with drinking more water to flush my system. You're definitely not the only one!

Topic: KEWL!! My first WOW moment!!
I'm 2 weeks out and (according to my scale) I've down 22 lbs. KEWL! I had the first of what I hope are many WOW moments. It may seem like a small one but at this point ANY victory is still a victory!! I know I've lost weight, but the other day I was thinking I can't really feel it too much in my clothes or see it in the mirror. So my first WOW moment today came totally by surprise! This afternoon, I took my daughter to the orthodontist's office and they have a strict policy about cell phones in their office. But wouldn't you know it, while we were waiting, I got a VERRRRY important call (one I'd been waiting on all day). So I went out into the open area from my Dr.'s office to take the call but there was no place to sit. Without thinking, I found a quiet corner and sat down on the ground with my legs folded (as my daughter calls it) PRETZEL LEG style!! I was so engrossed in my conversation that it wasn't until I was halfway through that I looked down at my legs and noticed that I was sitting in a position I probably haven't been able to do in a very long time!! I was amazed!! Then, to add icing to the cake, when I got home later, I sat down on my couch to read the mail and (once again, without thinking) I CROSSED MY LEGS COMFORTABLY!! I remember a time when I was able to cross my legs comfortably and I remember (all too painfully) the day when I noticed that I had gained so much weight that I was no longer able to do that. WAHOOO!!!

Topic: RE: Exactly 1 month & 38 lbs. down!
How could you possibly feel negative about losing near 40lbs in a MONTH?? I dont get it. Thats a 10lb a week average! If you feel negative about that you need a reality check cuz it will never keep that pace. Please try to be a lil realistic about whats going to happen with your weight loss and you wont feel dissapointed in the future..

I agree- I posted a new question similar to this before reading yours because I thought the numbers would be greater. I am down a total of 32lbs since surgery 5 weeks. I am losing 3-4lbs a week. Total that is pretty good but on a weekly basis it seems like such a small amount. I have to remember I could never loss 3-4 lbs a week previous to surgery. Jennifer

I am 5 weeks out today. I am now losing about 3-4 lbs per week. Does this sound right to any of you? I have lost a total of 32 lbs since surgery. My doctor said I was right on track at my 4 wk appt. Just looking for some comparisons. Thanks Jennifer
