That was some good sound advice. I took notes, I am having surgery on 3/19 and don't really know what to expect yet? I will keep on reading.

You REALLY need to call your surgeon. I think every few days is fine, but weeks does not sound right to me. Better safe than sorry.

It is completely normal. The worst for me was the day of surgery, but being a post op'r I can tell you, there's nothing to be scared of. You'll do great. Lori

I had my surgery a few days before yours and you are right on track. The average weight loss for the first month is 20 lbs and I stalled at the same time you did. you're doing great.

Have you been drinking enough water? I also try and eat applesauce too, that seems to help me. Maybe some pureed prunes. I know that I had the opposite problem after surgery with diarrhea. I do know that I only go like once and week or twice now, not like before. Be sure to call your surgeon to see if he has suggestions. Good luck and I hope you feel better.

Topic: Slow Loser?
Hi, I am new to this board. I am three weeks out to this day and I have only lost 21 pounds and I see people losing so much faster than me. This week alone I was at a standstill for several days and it seemed to be coming off so quickly in the first weeks or so. Am I expecting too much?

Topic: 4 days until my WLS and I'm SCARED!!
I've been planning this surgery for months. I've done my research and my homework. My personal life is in order. Preparations have been made. All the pre-op testing is complete. And I'm fortunate enough to have the next month off from work to recouperate. All systems are a go! I was doing fine before...So why am I suddenly SCARED??? Yesterday, I was so nervous and anxious, I could barely stand it! My stomach is a ball of knots! I can't even really pinpoint what I'm nervous about either! Can anybody relate? What did YOU do to keep from being a nervous wreck? I'm a little worried that on Wednesday during the drive to the hospital, I'll fall apart!!

Well, me too! I mean I had Surgery Feb 2 and have felt great the 3 weeks since. My doc has me still on liquids only (3 cans of boost and 64 oz water each day) so I have not tried ANY food yet. Yesterday for the first time I felt nausea all day and at about 6:30 pm when I started drinking my last can of boost I suddeny god pain in my tummy (or somewhere in there) and my mouth got all watery and I felt a huge urge to throw up. Well while leaning over the toilet trying to hold back I decided to have a bm and then I felt fine. So what is going on withus? ARE we normal??? I have been told it is because of not getting enough water.....I am only able to get about 40 ounces in each day.....I am trying to sip sip sip more more more! I don't want to be sick! Shelley
