Topic: RE: gained 2 pounds
Hi Dianne, I was reading your post and realized that BEFORE wls, I wouldn't even have noticed 2 lb....and wouldn't even have been upset about 2 lbs...now I monitor my weight...as you obviously are doing....and I am quick to get back on track...gosh, I am going to work hard to keep it so for the rest of my life. What about you? I never weighed myself or at least hardly ever....and when I did I had usually gained 10 lbs or MORE.... I too have a plastic surg. app't scheduled, Sept 30th....I want to make an app't with a different surgeon so I can compare.... Today is a new day....hopefully I can walk off that ice cream cone I had over the week-end....but go**** tasted GOOD!!! RAE

Topic: gained 2 pounds
I've been eating like a pig and gained 2 pounds. It's back to being serious and uping the protien. I was in Cincinnati for my nieces graduation which was fun, but to much bad food. I have an appointment with a plastic surgeon on 7/5 for consult on boob/arm lift - 1st of many proceedures to come. I don't know why, I probablly won't have enough sick time till February but want to find out how much I'll need and start saving , maybe plan the date and let them know at work. I don't know if the surgeon would even schedule that far out. I have terrible pain under my arm and between my shoulder blades, from my saggy boobs, despite being fitted with a really good bra. I would like a reduction/lift. The tummy tuck will be 2nd and the leg thing last. That sounds horrible. Dianne 340/158

YOU GO GIRL!!!!!! I wish I could say the same...last time I went in to see him we (me and Dr. A) were both disscouraged that I haven't lost more than I have, I have lost 122 (125, unofficially) pounds, but since we've hit that 1 year mark everythings gonna get harder to come off, so he is wanting me to do one of those metabolic intake thingies...I don't know what he called it, but first I'm trying to keep up with what I'm eating on a daily basis, then go from there. I'm sooo happy for you, and by the way you do look great!!!!

Snacks? Did someone say, snacks? 100 calorie bagged microwave popcorn Soy pretzels dipped in natural PB Sliced seedless cucumbers Marinated beans, "cowboy caviar" Whole wheat crackers spread with cottage cheese Fresh, steamed green beans with butter and salt Deli turkey or ham, rolled up with a pickle Carb Countdown Yogurt or Smoothie Applesauce with Wheat Germ Low-Carb Tortilla spread with tomato sauce, cheese, toasted Hummus, on it's own, or use as a dip with veggies Chickpeas, straight outta the can, I love all beans like this, though... Glenny's Soy Crisps (danger, danger!) I could go on for days, I'm obsessed! -Beth http://meltingmama.blogspot.com

How about a low carb tortilla (Mission has a whole wheat one that is only 4 net carbs) with peanut butter and fruit on it? (I have a thing for PB and Turkey Bacon...sigh..call me Elvis!) Pepperoni chips? low fat granola? maybe go to a not so sweet fruit to change flavors? Blackberries? chicken with cheese and hot sauce (c'mon..you KNOW I live on this stuff, people!) salsa and cucumbers? tuna with cucumbers? anything with cucumbers? tomatoes? I just made a boatload of cabbage soup with carrots, celery, onions, tomatoes..yum! esp with a little cheese and hot sauce... I dunno..I am talking out my pouchie today...lol Janice

Topic: need new snack idea!
hi Everyone, well I have become bored with my snacks! need something new, it does not have to be all protein either. I was using these in the past and am tired of all of them canned manderine oranges canned pinapple canned peaches ( i have no problems with natural sugars in fruit) wheat thins with melted cheese cheesy pickle, that is a large pickle with a cheese stick stuck in the middle. apple with peanut butter any nuts I guess my list just goes on, i find a good snack and I eat it until I don't want it anymore. anyone have any neat, different ideas??? I have lost about 117 pounds and my doc said I dont need to lose anymore, i eat pretty much regular foods EXCEPT that dreadded sugar, I am still recovering from my MRSA infection and second henia surgery so I am on extra protein but I am getting that from UNJURY. 277/158/150 Donna
