Drains can be a drag....
Those with drains, how much output are you seeing? I've been averaging around 20cc every 2 hrs, but last night I got 50cc as I slept (by 6am) and another 50cc at 9:30am. Now it seems to be back down to the 20cc/2hrs rate. Like Phil, I'm a nut for numbers and tracking things in and out. Even have a 1 oz shot glass for sipping h2o.
OCD - I know....
the drains suck...luckily i had mine out before I left the hospital. I burns a little when they take it out but the pain is gone quick.
Now all I have left to have removed is my g-tube...let me tell you I'd trade your drain for my g-tube any day of the week, it is very painful and I can't even lay down with it in me.
sorry to jump on you post complaining, but this 1st couple of weeks has sucked.
lol Jen

No prob, that's mainly what this post was meant for - whining on my part about my drain. I have noted though that since getting 100cc out of the drain since last night it's been a lot more easy to get the liquids in. I'd previously get stuffed with 1 oz of h2o, now I can drink 2 oz without too much trouble - So I guess it's worth it.
Going to try some chicken noodle soup tonight - need a little warm food to soothe my pouch - we'll see how that goes. Not to worry, it's bariatrix 15g protein Chix Noodle.
Later,
Jeff
