Wow, I haven't even tried breads yet - was told that they block up the pouch and can be painful until further along the process. Maybe it just takes time to pass the bread, as it's more bulky. Hope it passes soon!

I was told to toast any bread until +8 weeks, I guess it digests better since toasting it removes the moistness, which makes it go down easier.

I was told breads stretch out your pouch when your new...I have no clue...I myself ate like a few tiny, mouse size bites of a whole grain roll and I was cool...but give me meats of any kind and you never know what lovely reaction might happen lol!

I have a piece of whole grain toast and it works fine. I am able to chew it to nothingness and it feels great on my tummy.

I was told no bread, rice or pasta for 6 months after my surgery. I have had some mashed potatoes, but have kind of gotten away from them, don't know if I'm supposed to really have those either.

I just had a bite of my husbands toast and it made me sick for the remainder of the day!
