This weekend I went through my closets and threw away everything that is too big now or too baggy or just looks crappy - to keep myself from wearing it. And i cut up my old "favorite" demin dress and jeans into squares to make a quilt. It was so liberating!!! I kept saying goodbye to the old me. And today, I put on my "skinny jeans" i've been trying to fit back into and realized that they are getting roomy too! wow!! what a trip!! Still got a ways to go - but man, today I feel like dancing!!

I need to do this. In my mind I still wear my size 22's even though they are WAY baggy and make me look frumpy. I can fit into the 20's, and even some 18's but my comfort level is still in those 22's. Cutting them up might be a fine thing ;) Congrats on getting into your skinny jeans!!! Can you imagine what REAL skinny jeans will look like???

I keep a garbage bag in my laundry room so as I wash clothes I feel were big and shouldn't be wear anymore I throw them in. Once full I drop them to Salvation Army.

A lot of the bariatric support groups have a clothing exchange. SO, you bring in what you've outgrown and someone else in the same journey can make use of them. I love this idea. You can also pick some stuff out that fits you if you need to.
