What can you do NOW-you couldn't before???
We all tend to focus on the weight loss but on another thread it got me to thinking. What can you do now you couldn't before?? We were a pretty sedentary bunch and the weight made movement and activities difficult.
So, what can you do?
I'll start. When I go shopping (which seems a lot lately) I do not have to try and get a close parking spot-I can walk from the back of the lot, walk through the stores and the mall and just keep on walking. I ride my horses and do it well. I fit into seats and booths with no problem. I can trim my toe nails without having to contort.
Hmmmm. I know there is more..........
I can cross my legs like a lady
I can drive past a McDonalds without thinking about stopping
I can fit in any bathroom stall
I can fit in the chairs at school (connected to the damn tables! What are they thinking?)
I can work out at high intensity for 1 hour
I can wear high heels!
I can fit into clothes that I wore in college
I can shop in ANY store I want (no more plus-sized rip-offs for me!)
I can wear corduroy pants without starting a fire (Ha!)
I can wear pantyhose comfortably
I can ride any amusement park ride I want
I climbed to the top of Spartan stadium (MSU) without even getting winded
I can wear my knee high boots (they're for bigger calfs, but I still couldn't get into them 6 months ago)
I can drive to school after working all day and not be falling asleep (goodbye sleep apnea)
Here's a weird one... (sorry guys, this is totally TMI) I used to use the Always pantyliners for plus-sized women, and now they are too big. I have to buy the regular ones. Sorry, that's kind of gross, but I was proud
On that note, I think I'll stop

I :
1) can fit and sit in any chair or booth , although, I admite I still "size" them up before I sit..hard habit to break
2)can walk alot and also don't park close
3) no longer use the handicap bathroom because it's bigger
4) put on any seatbelt in any car
5) can drive with the steering wheel in a normal position
6) can cross my legs
7) can fasten my bra behind my back, not twisting it around
8) have willpower and not eat unhealthy foods
I'm sure there is alot more.

What a great idea!
Let's see, a lot of mine are the same as yours and Jessica's, but I'll add:
-I'm not constantly hot, red, and out of breath.
-I can sit hunched over with my elbows on my knees-before, I could barely bend due my stomach being in the way
-No more Lane Bryant-it was there for me when I needed it, but seriously, good riddance.
-I practice mindful eating-no more unconscious snacking
-I know so much more about nutrition now-I don't eat just because something tastes good.
-I'm no longer the fattest person in my family
-I'm no longer the fattest person in the room (usually)!
-I don't cringe when I look in the mirror. I actually like how I look.
-I feel pretty and more feminine now
-I don't worry that I'm getting subpar treatment or being looked down on for being fat. If I am, it's for another reason!
-Guys make eye contact with me and even (gasp) flirt!
-Showering and personal hygiene is so easy now-'nuff said on that one.
-I can run after and play with my 3-year old nephew.
-My house is so much tidier now-I don't just flop down when I get home from work. I putter around and do chores without even thinking about it.
-Weekends aren't spent resting all day-I'm out and about and enjoying life!
Oh, I like this one!
Let's see.... 1. I can actually play outside with my son until HE get's tired.
2. I can wipe myself without having to stand- and twist- and contort... you get the picture. (Sorry)
3. Whoopie has taken on dimensions not seen since my early thirties (YESSS!)
4. No more shopping at "Casual Whale"... or the other "plus" size stores.
5. No more seat belt extensions on Airplanes. (that was SO embarrassing)
6. I can walk between my truck and the garage door, even when it's closed.
7. My wife can wrap her arms around me.
8. I can WALK 18 holes of golf.
9. I can mow my whole yard without stopping for a break.
10. I can eat at buffet's and stop at ONE plate.
11. My shorts don't ride up my crotch all day long.
12. I can do WHATEVER I want. I'm not limited because of my size.
I could go on for days, but I'll let other folks have a crack at it. This was fun.

Sharra, you always come up with the best ideas. I share alot of what as already been mentioned and some deserves being mentioned again:
1. Can cross my legs
2. Can clean my house without having to take breaks inbetween tasks
3. Can put the bathroom towel all the way around
4. I don't worry about making too many trips around the office. (I used to plan my errands so I wouldn't have to go more than once) now I like to make multiple trips. More exercise.
5. Don't drive around looking for the closest parking space. The farther away the better.
6. Can bend over and tie my shoes. I used to have put my pants on part way then my shoes and then pull my pants up the rest of the way. Not anymore!!
7. Can ride roller coasters again!!
8 And last but definetly not least-I can go to my first Sacramento Kings came this year because I will be able to fit in the seats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is definetly more but you get the idea
How fun! I need to this I think.. to encourage myself.
I love that I don't think about food every waking moment.
I think about life now and living it.
Sex is so much more fun!
I can cross my legs!
I can wear trendy clothes instead of tents and tarps.
No more muffin top!
I don't feel like a spectacle in public places
I don't have anything aching or sore.
I have energy to clean my house and still have energy to do the other stuff I like.
I can run and jump with my kids!
I can jump on the trampoline with my children.
I can sit cross legged on the floor.
I care about how I look now.
I can work out 3x as much as before and not even break a sweat!
I feel strong!
I feel beautiful.
My son who is 8 can wrap his arms all the way around my waist... when he first did that.. it was a weird experience! I thought.. (how did he do that!!??) LOL
I feel young again..
I don't feel like a freak of nature and can stand up in front of people and talk without embarrassment.
I feel like I have something to contribute to society.
I can have vision for my life now that I am living it to it's fullest.
I can think of other things as I drive by Arbys, Mcdonalds, and the like.
I can stop eating when I want to!
Wow.. I guess I might have gone on too long? Sorry.. There is so much and I needed to think about it all... my weight loss has stalled for 2 months. I lost 82 lbs at 4 1/2 months and have only lost 2 more pounds since.. it's discouraging.. but I knew I was loosing fast.. I guess I'll wait it out..and keep working out and drinking water and keeping the protein up.

I concur with what everyone else has said, but ladies here's one that I just love, I can be on top during sex and not suffocate my husband!!

. Such a great feeling. The other one is wrapping a hotel towel around me and covering my whole body. And I can squat and sit and my heels like little kids do when they're watching TV, anyone know what I mean, kind of hard to describe. So many things. And I bought a size 6 skirt the other day, and I never remember being a size 6.
