Wow Shar, I can't WAIT until people tell me I've lost enough! I'm still pretty round, though, so it's not happening any time soon, LOL...However, I did tell a coworker I still have 60 lbs to lose, and she was shocked. So, that felt pretty good. Also, like Sharra, I'm way rusty in the flirting department, too! When it happens now I usually don't realize it until after the fact!

A friend of mine says to people " I eat alot less" so I kind of borrowed that and I noticed people just smile and say "you look great" Everyone who knows me knows that I had the surgery. I did not mind at all sharing information with people especially if it can help someone else in a similiar situation. But it truly does depend on the cir****tance. Another time I was at an event that was work related and so many people that I did not know. Everyone kept asking for me to eat this or that and try this or that. Food is at every function! and so much of it. As time goes by I am becoming more and more comfortable and less and less like I have or need to explain myself, I eat less-- alot less! It's less complicated and it is the truth.

I get the same reactions from people I know as well. They all say I'm getting too skinny and need to stop losing weight! WHAT? I'm still 171-lbs. They nearly fall over when I tell them I still have another 30 to 40 pounds to lose! I always feel like I'm under the microscope especially if I'm eating in front of others. They all watch me to see how much I eat and feel the need to comment on how little I just ate. It is getting somewhat annoying to share how much weight I've lost every week when I see these people at church. They call me skinny minnie... and tell me I'm gonna shrink away to nothing. UGH! Oh well, I guess they mean well but it's just getting annoying to have to explain all the time. I think I will just say, "thank you" and leave it at that like some of you suggested. I also have one heavy friend who would be a perfect canidate for this operation. She has a lot of medical problems as well. We got along great before my surgery...but now? I have never once pushed this surgery on her or suggested it to her. I've actually been very careful not to bring it up to her or make her feel uncomfortable about it. I never even talk about my weight loss experience around her. I've also said this surgery is not for everyone and should be researched before making a decision on it. However, she has gotten really weird with me.. and distant. She will make mean comments to me about being too skinny and unhealthy because I'm so limited in what I eat. I try to be as friendly as possible and just let it go... but it's really starting to bug me. Ok, done venting...lol! Glad to see we are all dealing with the same sort of things. Hang in there A-Team... it's just another part of our journey!
