Topic: RE: Sunday Weigh In
I haven't posted in a few weeks due to the busy holiday season. But I'm anxious for the new year and the holidays coming to an end. I need to get back on track with my weight loss. I've been dipping into the Christmas cookies way too much lately and grazing all day long. Like everyone else... I seem to be hungry all the time and sugar doesn't seem to bother anymore. UGH! I've gained 5-lbs over this past month and it scares me to death! It feels more like 50 pounds instead of 5 and frankly I think I need to treat it as 50 before it gets carried away and it really is 50 pounds more.
So come the new year I plan on getting back on track.... no more grazing and no more Christmas cookies!!! I haven't been drinking my water either and way too much coffee. So less coffee and more water for the new year!
I'm glad I have you guys cause this new year is going to be a real challenge because the honeymoon is over and now it's pure willpower to make the right choices and keep on the plan! Let's stick together A-Team so we can continue with another successful year and let's not let a few defeats sabotage our efforts!

This past month has been a busy one with all the holidays... but I have one more party to attend after tonight's New Year's party then it's back to basics! I am sorry to say I have gained 5-lbs. over the holiday month due all those dang Christmas cookies in my house and sloppy eating habits! But come the new year I'm determined to get back on track and start working out on a regular basis. The honeymoon is definitely over and now it's pure determination, discipline and hard work that will keep us on the winners track! We've all come so far, learned so many things about ourselves, overcome major hurdles in our life and have lost a ton of ugly pounds! We've made our bodies healthy, our minds healthy and our eating habits healthy... let's keep it up! There's not give up the fight so easily by a few defeats. We are WINNERS and we can continue to be positive examples to all the nay sayers out there who are just waiting for us to fail! Let's prove them wrong and let's stick together as we all strive for another successful year! Love my A-Team and would be lost without you guys! You are my only support group so thank you for 18 wonderful months of the best support around! You guys are the best!!!!!

Yes we are winners! I am holding steady between 156 and 164. I know I don't get here as often as I should but I do rely on the A-Team for support. We need to stick together and be their for one another. I know we all have demons that we need to overcome. I am so grateful for the gift I have been given and I won't do anything to ever gain that weight back again. I wish all of you the Happiest of New Years and I will be here to give encouragement to all who need it. JanO

Oh, Lisa - how funny! I'm glad you are able to see the humor in it. And it's a good thing you were wearing bloomers! It may have been embarassing, but it's a far better cause for embarassment than, say, sitting in a chair and breaking it, or getting stuck in a chair, or having your pants split when you bend over! Congrats on the medium pants! I can't wait 'til your swelling goes down and we can see how tiny you really are.
Keep it up.

I'm with you both. I admit I don't check out this site as much as I used to, because I'm holding my weight - haven't lost, haven't gained much. But I still support everybody who has gone through this. We HAVE succeeded. I swear, I gain a couple of pounds, then work hard at not giving up as I used to. I lose those pounds, then gain 'em back (and I'm no longer PMSing either, so can't blame it on that), then lose 'em again. You are so right. The honeymoon is over.
I guess we're at the point where we'll start supporting each other in our plastic surgery experiences? I'm going to try to have some this year, if I can afford it and can get the time off.
Oh well. I love you guys; you've been and continue to be my support.

Thank you lisa!
I am going back to school and I took the gym class again so I have to work out at least 40 min for a certain amount of days in order to pass. I also got a recumbent bike from my sister and so if I want to watch one life to live I have to do it on the bike.
Thank you for your support!

Sounds like you were in starvation mode and that can happen but u were probally running around and doing more than u usually do getting ready for the holidays. Just repeat what u did and maybe it will happen again. I hope everyone is eating breckfast to get their fuel going first thing in the morning I do eat alot of beans in my diet and that is so full of protien. I do eat alot of popcorn in my diet that helps me with crunching satisfaction. I also have tiny bowls which are very small serving dipping sause plate and I eat with a tiny shrimp fork. my snack foods are nuts and i do eat alot of oatmeal (peaches and cream 1/2 package. Also what my dietician recommended is that make sure I am getting enought fat in my diet and since I rarely eat enough meats in my diet she suggested whole milk as u need fat in your diet to lose weight. I know hard concept for us wls to except but we do not eat like we use to. Sometimes we get surprises and we drop weight, congradulations Pam..Now go out and repeat what u did and see if u can shake off some more lbs. What ever u did worked for you.
