Have lost an additional 11lbs but that is nowhere near what I nor the Dr. Sadek wants me to be losing...at this point (4 months post-op), I should have lost a lot more than that especially since I have taken to giving up all sweets, starches and mainly eat proteins.

Topic: RE: liquid diet day #1

Well, I lived..lol. I managed to lose 30lb during my preoperative liquid diet. I am now almost three weeks out and down 52lbs. I have hit a lil stall this past week, loosing only 3 lbs. Surgery went well, I went into the or at 7 am 4/28/14 and my surgeon was out talking to my husband by 845. I was walking just four hours post op. I was in pain and my morphine drip helped through the night. I was discharged by 11am the next morning. Recovery was hard, byt everyday it gets better. I have four kids under 6, so taking it slow was never an option. I do have days that I just want to chug a big glass of ice tea, but know that it is impossible now. I vhew ice to keep up my fluids. This helps to keep me satisfied. I am finding determination, that I didn't know I had. I thank God for this opportunity, and know that my journey is just beginning.

The task ahead of you is never greater than the strength with in you! We can do this!
