Topic: One year anniversary Friday!!
I have reached one year and wow has this year been amazing and hard work!! I've lost 114 pounds but seem to have reached a major slow down, only losing a couple of pounds a month now. Kind of frustratong for me!! I did reach my goal weight of 176 pounds and am now two pounds under that! Congrats to all who had May as their one year anniversary! Jennifer

Topic: New Phoenix Support Group
I am starting a new support group in Phoenix, AZ serving the metro Phoenix area in June. Location is still be acquired, but I should have that finalized within the next week. This is an Obesity Help chapter. Each meeting you will learn something new about pre-op or post-op process, tips and tricks, recipes, exercises, dealing with unsupportive people, living with WLS and so much more!!
If you live in the Phoenix Metro area or ever visit this area, you are welcome to attend!! Online support is great, but face-to-face support is even better!!
"Those who attend support meetings and support gatherings will have a higher success rate in their WLS experience" ------ Colleen Cook, WLS author. No matter how far out you are, what stage you are at now (gaining/losing), etc. you should come!! ALL are welcome!
Go to website below for more information or to join the online support group!!

Topic: RE: sizes...juniors vs. misses
The other reply was right...also juniors are cute lower in the rise them misses. Their low rise is lower then misses low rise. An 11 is like an 8 and a 9 is like a 6...I think!

Topic: RE: Don't want to give up the Sugar!!!
Hi Patti
My one year is on the 18th as well. Sugar is a demon hard to kick, I still find it hard to turn it away. Looking for alternative snack ideas is a good suggestion. When I want something sweet I find I have been turning to fruit a little more. One of my favorite snacks is sliced apple with some plain yogurt and a few honey roasted peanuts on top - yummie! Granted the peanuts are still sugary, but the quantity is low, and it's much less sugar than eating chocolate or cookies.

Topic: RE: 1 Year Post-Op Today (May 13, 2005)
Hi Angelia
Congrats on your one year weight loss
Try not to be too discouraged, plateaus happen. I hit one in November and it took me from November to May to April to lose 9 pounds! I found proteine, water and walking has been my friend to get things moving again. 170 pounds is nothing to scoff at!!

Topic: RE: sizes...juniors vs. misses
Hi Andrea
The difference is the cut, Juniors seem to be straighter in the waste and a not as long in the leg. I found I'm a 10/12 in Misses but I can fit into about a 15 in juniors. So maybe you would be a an 8 in misses? Just a guess though

Topic: sizes...juniors vs. misses
Ok...dumb question probably, but what exactly is the difference in sizing between juniors and misses? I wear an 11 in juniors, some 9's....so what does that equal in misses sizes?
Thanks,
Andrea
