Need some support maysters...
Thank you so much for your words of encouragment! You guys mean so much to me!
I'm supposed to be wearing a 14-16 right now and a large top, but most of the time, I have to resort to wearing my old 18's and 20's and x-large tops. I just pull the belt tight and try to keep smiling!

I had two herniated discs in my lower back...L4/L5 and L5/S1. The pain was all in my right right and right hip. It got so bad that I sat and cried at my desk at work every day for the last week weeks prior to my back surgery. I had back surgery on March 31st (prior to WLS). Best thing I ever did. Great surgeon. Right now, I'd consider myself 95% better. The muscle in my right leg is tighter. Things are really well if I don't overdo then I get sore. I've been told that the nerve can take a few years to heal. I do see it healing but very slowly.
I do understand your pain.
Best wishes, Kathy
Thank you so much Kathy for your support. I know that sometimes, people take their backs for granted, but anyone who has ever experienced this kind of pain knows how it can literally bring you to your knees. I struggle every day with this right now and what really gets to me is that just when I was becoming able to play around with my kids more (due to the weight loss), I'm now back to the mom on the couch bit again because I am in such tremendous pain by the time the afternoon rolls around. That really gets to me the most.
Thanks again for your encouraging words!!

Heather, I am so sorry to hear about your back troubles and I hope it encouraging to hear from others who have had successful back surgery. I wish I had some clothes for you, but you are smaller than me so mine would really be baggy on you. I can offer you my thoughts and prayers for you and your beautifu children. Extra Big Hugs, Tracy
