I had always said from the beginning that I would NOT ever get plastic surgery. Here I am...93 lbs. down...and starting to think about how it is going to be inevitable. I am only 24 - and am shocked to see how saggy EVERYTHING IS! Has anyone started looking into plastic surgery? Do you know what the usual time frame after surgery is? I know these types of prodedures will cost thousands and thousands - how the heck are you expected to pay for them? Are their LIFETIME payment plans!? haha! Any info would be appreciated! -Danielle RNY-5/16/05 259/166

Right now I am looking and browsing around the internet. Just kinda thinking about it like I did at first with WLS. I think they say you should be at least a year out. I think you should be close to your goal weight and have maintained it for about 6 months. At least that is my own personal requirements. I have looked at tons of sights on the internet and am gathering info about a tummy tuck and breast lift at the same time. That way they go thru your abd incision to do your breasts. And you only have one anesthesia bill. My husband asked where we are going on vacation next year and I told him Brazil where I can get some great plastics done for cheap!! He just rolled his eyes!! LOL that sounds like a great idea - maybe a group trip!?! I had set a standard that I wouldn't even look into it for a year and then not proceed until I was at least 18 months out - so basically that is about another 9 months away!! I guess my biggest fear is just how to pay for it - so hopefully I can figure that out and start preparing, so when the time comes its acutally an option for me. Brazil here we come! LOL

Some women locally have gone to Brazil for their plastics. The one surgeon is supposedly excellent. One woman just went down and had 3 surgeries while she was done there...lower body lift, boobs and arms and then a face lift. That's alot to do in 4 weeks. I may see her on the 18th. But others have gone to the same surgeon. LOL...he is Dr. Fabio - I forget the last name. The prices are amazing and I've heard the service and accomodations are excellent. Plus even getting a private duty nurse for the first few days after surgery is really inexpensive. I don't know that I'd have the nerve. Kathy

There are a couple of credit cards that are just for cosmetic surgery, plastics, dental, hair removal etc... They gave me a couple brochures when I went about the laser hair removal. I just filled them away for future use. The intrest wan't to bad, I think 9.9%. But I do plan on starting to save my money.

Danielle, My surgeon tells her patients to wait a minimum of 6 months and preferably one year after they are at goal weight before they get plastic surgery. Your body keeps changing for quite awhile. Lori
